That is a shockingly well thought out and pro player specific Ornn nerf. I'm usually one to shit on the Riot team (like how their patch notes are still garbage) but that's a really unique and specific nerf to Ornn's inherent advantages in pro play, that aren't as strong in standard soloQ

It is a decent change, but the problem is that they don't understand that they created a champion that cannot coexist with the rest of their game. Ornn is not the only one, but he is a great example at the moment.

Yeah, they basically admitted that Orrn's very unique passive isn't actually a balanced mechanic, so they half gut it to keep the old crowd happy, while new players will look at it and wonder why the champion has such a seemingly useless feature.

Death Dance nerf is not enough, very unhappy about it. Yeah, ranged champs exploit it hard, but so do champs like Riven and Aatrox who become nigh unkillable.

I do agree that there's very little if anything you can do to Ornn without changing his kit to make him not pro viable, but its a shockingly on point change that will effect and nerf his pro viability without changing much to the average player in soloQ. Sure its kind of clunky as a work around, but it gets the job done better than they usually do imo. For example its much better than just the stupid and clunky "You just can't flash taunt with Gallio because fuck you that's why"
