[Interview] Zero: Good Play Trumps Communication

Let's first congratulate Star Horn Royal Club for performing exceptionally well and grabbing the victory over King 2-0. Today we'll be interviewing the MVP of the match, Royal Club's support - Zero! Hello~

Zero: Hi everyone~

Zero is such a cute player and has received such a warm welcome from our home crowd. His plays on support has also been particularly outstanding. Anyone who's seen the matches would know. I noticed particularly in the beginning of the second game, there were two formidable moments where you aced the other team in the bot lane. Zero used Thresh and each hook was essential. How were you able to communicate with each other, at the time?

Zero: Rather than talking, I was paying more attention to how I could survive those skirmishes. I spent more time trying to avoid Zed's skill shots. Haha.

So what you're saying is that you didn't spend too much time communicating. I see~ now everyone feels like today, and generally as a whole, Zero is an excellent support. I want to know what you feel constitutes a good support? Give some advice to the people watching~

Zero: I haven't been switched to support for very long so I don't feel like I'm necessarily as consistent as you think. Because the ADCs I've played for are usually rather aggressive, I'm more inclined to try and match their style and play just as aggressively. So I feel like this is why I play well.

Now we know Thresh has always been a rather strong and rather popular pick as support. There must be a lot of people who are using this champion. Could you share with us some tips on what particular techniques you use to really maximize his efficiency in game?

Zero: I actually think Thresh is a very easy champion. Q hooks, and W lanterns in your teammate to safety. Each skill is very clear-cut and straightforward, whereas Nami is a bit more troublesome. I feel like each skill is very simple and clear, so it's easier to play him.

I'm sure that if you want to play well, there is still a lot of preparation and work behind it. We also know that Royal Club's ADC, HYY, is a normal player who happened to get recruited. You haven't played with each other for long. What do you think about the state of your synergy with him right now?

Zero: ... I don't know~

Well, regardless of that, I feel like Zero's performance today was really outstanding. We hope that Royal Club has more surprises in store for us in these upcoming matches. Thank you~

Agreed. It's really crazy what Cola and even Corn can do when they're given the resources.
