Although I can't complain. I just heard about a friend who is having -40 degree weather (the point where it doesn't matter if it's Fahrenheit or Celsius). His school's administration has warned everybody that standing outside for longer than five minutes will result in frostbite, but they still won't cancel classes.
Count your blessings!
And holy shit, thats an incredible storm. Expecting 20 inches? I don't remember the last time I've seen so much snow in one night. I guess it missed me up here in BC, but it does feel really cold today.

Just flew back home to Los Angeles for a quick visit from Pittsburgh. Gosu timing.

This means i have an excuse to play starcraft all day tomorrow.
|
Ive got nothing right now and i'm near Lake Erie i'm expecting ice ice ice babby when I wake up XD.

I had class cancelled today and tomorrow at Illinois State University. It is kinda nice for now but once I have reason to go back outside it will suck. I went to the grocery store last night to buy shit so I wouldn't need to leave my apartment, the produce, bread and milk were quite sparse.
|
Pfff. I'm in Minnesota. We got 12 more inches yesterday, but it doesn't feel like much when you've already got 4 or 5 feet on the ground.
Wimps...

I'm so jelly. It doesn't snow in Alabama, and if it does it's no work/school for a month! (lol). But seriously, I could use the rest of the week off.
|
What are you guys talking about? Its like 65 degrees here in the bay area california. Pshhh.

My university is having it's first snow day in 37 years, so I assume that this is some serious shit coming down. That being said, I used to live down South, so this is my first experience of a real blizzard.
|
I'm in the suburbs of Chicago, and this shit is intense. A friend and I went outside for fun and it was hilariously fun trying to walk through the ice flying horizontally. Blizzard fo' sho'. My face had no feeling when I walked back into the house 10 minutes later, shit was crazy. An hour after that, we started getting lighting. THUNDERSNOW. And the storm isn't stopping. o.o

Haha, there was a snowstorm in the south a few weeks back. Georgia had schools closed from Monday through Friday, it was great. Gotta love the south and their lack of preparedness for ice storms. :D
|
I do think living in the Southern USA etc would be nice, having nice weather all year round. But it's also kind of nice to have all 4 season "as they should be."
I don't really like extreme heat or cold, autumn is pretty nice up in Ontario.. most of the time.
XD
~> damn, that's a lot of nices.. nice.
|
We got 2 feet of snow in 7 hours here in Chicago suburbs
And it's the first time school was cancelled in advance, as in they cancelled tommorow's school during school today.... if that isn't to confusing

Nice 70-80 F weather here. Gotta love the coasts.

Its been snowing for a few hours now in chicago. 35mpg winds with gusts up to 60 mph lol. Cars are stuck everywhere. Fun times.

Been snowing all day in North Texas. It's 12 degrees farenheit and the entire street is covered by an ice blanket.
I can't remember the last time it was this bad, usually we get some sleet and snow but it dries up almost immediately. This is ice gonna last for at least 2 days. Texas is going crazy, nobody knows how to drive in this weather.

It's all fun and games until your Internet goes down

Wind just picked up again. It's really howling outside

Hmmm, wish I was back in Ontario to experience this storm. Makes me feel like a kid again, hehe.
