Frost Giant begins Stormgate presales through Kickstarter, including various digital content, beta access (February 2024), and a physical Collector's Edition.
Considerable information about the roadmap to Stormgate release is included in the Kickstarter
Update (November 29, 2023): IGN - Gameplay video
A substantive gameplay reveal featuring the Infernal faction (second faction).
I was disappointed that there was no indication of what the actual gameplay is like, it's just a CGI short film that doesn't tell you anything about the actual game. And I'm a bit concerned that it's FTP. I worry about what that could mean; I don't want an RTS that requires regular cash outlays for me to be able to play competitively.
Still hopeful, but my position on Frost Giant is the same as on day one; I'll hold off on being hyped until they actually show us a game.
Not going to judge the pre alpha images from an artistic POV, since its a WIP, but I was hoping the camera would be higher up. I'm still worried this will just be a MOBA with RTS elements rather than the reverse. Happy to be proven wrong and the Beta ends up being a blast

They emphasized that there won't be any P2W elements in the game. I think the Free to Play model is explicitly there to allow everyone to play online. Just as StarCraft II nowadays, the MP will probably be Free to Play, while missions might cost something.

Interviews are still ongoing and will be for like an hour more, but no P2W elements was a headline announcement. Loads of stuff about the game were headline announcements and then followed up in the interviews.
Example: There will be regular purchaseable campaigns and other content as well as skins and they want to avoid a lot of the issues that SC2 skins had with competitive play.
Pretty much everything they've said and done has been bang on TBH
Trash, even trailer cinematic looks like Indian piece of pile. Mix of future things (robots, guns, blasters) with things from lovely Warcraft, resembles me of pathetic Heroes of the Storm. Seems Frost Giant loves Marvel's shit.
The setting seems very like other current mixed fantasy-scifi game settings. Not really big surprise considering how important different kind of cosmetics are for games nowadays. Same with art style. Very safe play in generally i think. Gameplay would have been nice, but having good show for existing RTS fans and newcomers seems hard. Old fans can be very conservative while new people could get more hyped with big armies and big battles instead of seeing tight macro mechanics and splitting. Thus, showing some characters first seems fine. Personally I would have probably preferred more classical setting, fantasy or scifi.
