... I hate these type of comparisons. GW is nothing like Lineage and Lineage came out way before it. In the first Lineage nothing was 'ínstanced' and it was a completely open world. The PvP was like nothing else at the time as well. If you played on the PvP Dep. Nowhere was safe. Blood pledges would war over everything from hunting grounds to Town ownership. Something I wish more games would uphold.
Really not sure what you hate? I am wondering if this is instanced in the fashion GW has done it or if this is sticking true to the persistent world MMO. I was hoping it would be sticking to its roots even with its new gameplay mechanics.
That's the thing. It isn't. It's more like the Diablo franchise if you've been watching the videos and listening to what everyone saying. It does look a lot more appealing than D3; however, a lot of us including yourself would rather have the game go back to its original roots. No pointless quests, open world and everyone for themselves, pledges and alliances. It's amazing how well a game can do when it's more player driven than anything else.
No one knows how heavily instanced this game will be yet. Please read the article I linked, it will shed light on many things you guys are asking about.
Wow, why have I never seen this game before? I found some videos after looking at some grim dawn videos. But apparently I'm reading that this game has been cancelled. The devs for this left NCSoft to form Bluehole which created TERA, but apparently took art, assets, and code along with them. They were convicted in Korea, but the company wasn't.
After seeing these videos and comparing to TERA ... what a loss.
sorry do you mean tera was based off another, older L3 design? that would be great news as i am seriously hyped after watching these. drag skill? why don't other H&S have this?
Sorry for the bump however I was wondering if anyone knows whats going on with this game. I was very excited about it when they showcased some gameplay however it has passed more thatn 3 years now since any update.
