Whew, this one is a doozy. Awesome writeup with really cool graphics too!
Savior is literally the reason I started playing Starcraft again, and he will always be my Zerg hero, regardless of what terrible shit he did outside the game. Since KeSPA will never lift the ban, I almost wish GOM would let him give SC2 a go, but they'll never do that. Really tragic that such an inspirational player will never see competition ever again.

The more radical the idea or execution, the greater the subsequent dominance. Boxer, Nada, iloveoov, and Flash, in TvZ, Bisu in PvZ, Jaedong in ZvZ, and Savior in ZvP are just a few among many other examples. While all of these players initially won consistently because their opponents had no clue how to play against them, they experienced a slow, or sometimes rapid decline when their rivals figured out how to counter or equalize against the previously dominant strategy. This has been, and will always be the case. Innovations only have a limited amount of time to be made use of before they become another draw-even strategy or obsolete altogether. And once that period of time is over, that player always declines in performance. Only Savior is the exception to this rule.
I think given now that there has been significant time passed, we can agree that Bisu PvZ is also an exception!

savior actually beating bisu was the first pro brood war game I ever watched :D made me think I'd be a savior fan for life! too bad he has no integrity otherwise I'd be so excited about MJY

My favorite player of all time. Watching him absolutely dictate the game was ridiculously impressive. I have never in any RTS game known any player that knew more about how to control his opponent than the Maestro. This read if anything just makes me physically ill that because of the scandal we have all been robbed a player of that caliber.
