Michael "Spanishiwa" Yabut is one of North America's most promising up and coming Zergs.

Spanishiwa's unique style sets him apart from some of the other Zergs who need more pew pew and less QQ.

He is not Spanish, but lived in Japan and chose to study Spanish instead of Japanese hence the name "Spanishiwa"!

Spanishiwa is famous for his "ice fisher" build. It is easy to learn and a great opening at all skill levels:

He has a lot of potential, I think. His macro is solid and his micro (fungals, infested t bombs, queen defense) is pretty impressive. He admits himself that he doesn't know how to defend cheese. Given that his build is pretty greedy, he's going to get a lot of practice. ;-)

I wonder if the answer to cheese is purely a question of how defensive to get. Spines supported by queen transfusions are ridiculously strong. Whether it is possible to reliably defend cheese without getting economically behind due to the spines and queen investments, I have no idea.
