+ Show Spoiler + It wasn't bad, though a bit slow and it felt like the whole season is just a set up for next one. Characters were not as memorable honestly.

Same writers, the story follows what happened with drug trade south of the U.S. border around the same time Pablo and the Medellin cartel are rising. (Some previous characters appear in a couple of scenes.) Can be enjoyed without having seen the other series. + Show Spoiler + It wasn't bad, though a bit slow and it felt like the whole season is just a set up for next one. Also I was confused by the way Gallardo seemed to switch between playing the badass in control role and the insecure guy - I couldn't quite get a grip on him. Maybe that was the intention, but he didn't really have enough charisma to carry the season as well as medellin or cali did. Nonetheless a decent season
