Source?

It will be one season but 20 episodes afaik so much better
Maybe im wierd but i actually liked this episode more than the last one. Except for Stannis wich is ruined in comparison to the books, and Dany wich is even more corny

Afaik the 7 seasons prediction was just an early draft and there is no confirmation at all about how many seasons they will actually take. And I also think there isn't even confirmation a 5th or 6th season will even happen as it has to be renewed every year for a new season.
|
I would actually be happy if they condense 4/5 into one season (hopefully longer than 10 eps though), cause it means they can cut out a lot of the useless stuff. For example, I would personally be okay if Quentyn was completely removed from the show since he doesn't really have any impact. They can also massively shorten a lot of the Mereen and Dorne segments, and probably cut a lot from Cersei's POV chaptesr too.

They can get around Jaime being there for the wedding, first idea would be to have him leave during the feast to give Brienne the sword or something like that.
Shitty, but works, kinda

"I am king. Wants do not enter into it. I have a duty to my daughter. To the realm. Even to Robert. He loved me but little, I know, yet he was my brother. The Lannister woman gave him horns and made a motley fool of him. She may have murdered him as well, as she murdered Jon Arryn and Ned Stark. For such crimes there must be Justice."
Fucking ruined.

I think the only way they can redeem Lady Stoneheart's reveal is if they hint at it all next season very, VERY subtlety and then Gendry somehow makes it back to the BWB and it has its reveal there when he returns.

Curious to see the source on that as well.
Good episode this week but not much set up for the next season.

I liked the episode, until the final scenes.

Varys/Shae was a bit weird and the ending was very weak, crowdsurfing also was overdoing it for my taste.
All Dany scenes are weak and cheesy. So ending on a Dany scene is just setting up for failure.
I think its pretty clear now that the shows just going to do its own thing. Which is unfortunate. Because the best scenes in the show, are when they directly lift the dialogue from the books. The more scenes they make up, the worse it becomes.
If they really are doing the show in 7 seasons, they're going to have to start doing some massive content cutting. Maybe they'll just take Aegon out. And leave out all the Martell stuff. I'm sure they'll find a way to make the plot still "work". lol

Yeah well, that's just like your opinion man.

IMO it feels like the actress playing Dany could have cared less this season.

dany is getting tiresome really fast and it's only going to get worse

Shit, I was pretty close!

If they leave out cold hands AND strong belwas....well i'll be pretty fucking disappointed.

They ruined both Stannis and Renly. Two of the most bad ass characters, both made into jokes. They must have had it out for the baratheons. Though, too give them some credit, I think Robbert is one of the best portrayed characters in the series

They have to do it in one. The 2 books are really just one, b/c each of them only contain half of the pov.

Though, too give them some credit, I think Robbert is one of the best portrayed characters in the series Pfft. There's plenty of characters that have been flattened out, if only due to the limitations of TV and the limited amount of time they have to show things. Loras for instance isn't quite so distraught with Renly's death after all! :p
It's to be expected, and honestly, I don't think the Stannis interpretation was "everything is ruined, fuck you HBO" level. Well, not quite. There's still plenty of room for interpretation, at least (wasn't at all overt in the finale, but there plenty to be analyzed), and I suspect Stannis' characterization will improve in coming seasons (just like the Season 3 finale will highlight the shitshow that Dany's actions have caused).

That would make it one book with over two thousand pages.
They have to do it in at least two. If they don't, they'll be making even more significant cuts than they have so far.

The 2 books are really just one, b/c each of them only contain half of the pov. Book 3 is literally just one and they split it up into two seasons, so that's a really poor reason for why they would do it. It's not like they couldn't do season 4 as the first half of both books and season 5 as the later halves.
