@Syrio : He could introduce Arya to the Faceless Men, or be part of her training. Although that would be for season 5 I suppose, so I don't think it mean anything that the actor was there for season 3/4.

Am i missing some awesome scenes? I watched the "chaos is a ladder" one and it was pretty cheesey. It's not such a good idea to be 1337 like that, heh.

In the book Jeyne is part of a minor, Lannister(?)-aligned house which bends the knee, so it makes sense that she is spared. In the show, she's from across the Narrow Sea, so she has no real worth to anyone once she completes her mission. I'm still not entirely convinced she's from across the Narrow Sea. Every foreigner has an eccentric accent except for her. That may just be handwaved TV Magic so that she doesn't come off as annoying, but in that case I wish they would've done it for Shae too. I cannot stand listening to her speak.

Illyrio, Varys, Thoros and several of the guys with Dany (almost everyone she meets in Essos) dont have foreign accents either and so far noone has complained. I agree on Shae though. But its not only her accent, she is just not a good actress. Maybe worst in the series after the guy playing Lancel.

I'm still 100% incapable of trusting her. This is a pretty good watch and if it's mostly right I'd give D&D massive props for the way they handled the Talisa/Jeyne change.

Yes, she's German, and the only reason they made Shae not to be from Westeros is because of her accent, if I remember correctly.

I think I should start hanging around the ban list thread again, because the fun is going to start in the coming weeks. Also, if RW is episode 9, what is going to be in episode 10 to round out the season and hook people for the next one?

Well, the episode is called "Mhysa" So Dany will sack Yunkai. From WinterIsComing: Synopsis: Joffrey challenges Tywin. Bran tells a ghost story. In Dragonstone, mercy comes from strange quarters. Dany waits to see if she is a conqueror or a liberator. I wonder what cliffhanger they will put? What mercy are they talking about? Must have something to do with Gendry

I interpreted it as Melisandre freeing Davos, which is not really what one would expect the first go around, and from what I remember was fairly unexpected for me in the books.

And I love what he said about Dany, it completely mirrors my thoughts. HBO: Which character or being scares you the most? Nikolaj Coster-Waldau: Melisandre the Red priestess-she's a scary woman. There's also something about that type of power that Daenerys has. Most people believe she's doing the right thing, but she's burning people alive. She's got a chip on her shoulder. I don't want her to come across the Narrow Sea. She's going to burn thousands and thousands and thousands of people and have that self-righteous smirk on her face the whole time.

I have a friend who lurks here who watches the show but hasn't read the books, I told him a while ago by NO circumstances should he go in that thread. Just to give people the benefit of the doubt though, I'm pretty sure any seasoned TV watcher could put some clues together and make an educated guess about what's gonna happen, so there's really no way to know of people are just making very good and accurate predictions, or if they are just being dicks. Also logically, if you have a discussion thread with like 100 people all making guesses and predictions, odds are a few are going to be pretty accurate.

I was like wtf? that guy is like 4 seasons ahead in the meta. How could you guess that a bodyguard and davos rotting in jail are protagonists? then I noticed this guy was spoilerizin everytime he posted in that thread.

I'm quite sure most of those theories are true. So does that mean I'll know the plot of the coming books? That I won't be surprised any more? I'm honestly not sure, and I have no idea if I will enjoy the coming books more or less because of this. Edit: Also, am I the only one who's always totally paranoid about accidentally posting in the wrong thread? ![]()
