I assumed that crimson guard will be completly trash with only a "50" damage shield. But it doesn't block 50 damage flat as the blog post implied, the ingame tooltip states correctly that it blocks 50 damage from every attack.

because if you actually read the blog post it says it gives you a shield that blocks 50 damage.
It never says that it blocks multiple sources of damage or anything along those lines. The ingame tooltip is completly different from what the blog post states.

Active: Guard - Gives nearby allied heroes (750 range) +2 armor and a damage block shell that has a 100% chance to block 50 damage. Lasts 9 seconds. Cooldown 70.
Passive: Damage Block - Gives the wearer a chance to block damage from each incoming attack based on whether the equipped hero is melee or ranged.

Wow you are salty today. Pour coffee in your cornflakes this morning? And I will admit I read it wrong the first time. The phrase "from all incoming attacks for 9 seconds" would have been more clear.

The only possible way to read that is as the "damage block" stat provided by Stout/PMS/Vanguard/Kraken Shell because otherwise the "100%" part makes absolutely zero sense.

it is funny, i did see your original post and apparently you also sometimes have trouble reading, you had to edit it quickly. Oh also purge got it wrong in his video. It makes sense to get it confused since the shield ability is very close to abandons shield and abandons shield also has a max up-time that stops immediatly if he takes too much damage.

A lot of people also got the new rune wrong because it is confusing

I dont get why tinker is nerfed to the ground, while Void or Razor are getting smart and judicious nerfs when they were way more successfull competitive wise. Anyway I kind of dislike nerfs in dota, so I'm happy in the sense that only tinker's nerf seem to be disproportionate.

Sad patch.I agree with the 99% of the changes but even one change can break the game.I like dota because its a competitive game plus to fun that offers.The artificial comeback mechanic is the worst change i have ever seen,i dont want rng bullshits and fake dramatic turnarounds that based on this stupid idea.There must be no handicap that makes dota noobgame.You feed you lose thats dota for me.

no, you didn't paste the wrong part you confused his passive and his active. You even highlighted from each incoming attack from his passive description. After that you pasted everything without highlighting anything because 2 other people already said that it should be obvious.

If you get fat and then you feed, you lose dota now. The same rules apply. And the gold difference won't be that huge in most games that people are going to get 10K dumped on their head after killing an fat Tinker or Naga.

yeah, but its greatly reduced the more heroes that are involved with the kill. The only way it is the full value is if its a 1v1 kill. If its 5 heroes, the factor is very small(.15). So if a carry solo kills one of your supports, it might get him a lot of gold. But the victim's level is a huge factor in how much gold is handed out.

I need to see the thing in action. It only really comes up in assists, so solo kills appear to be unchanged.
