Anyways, I think BW is a better game, but its too old. I've seen all the moves, all the ownage microing etc. Its nothing left. Its getting pathetic with "OnGameNet Super Delux ProGamer StarLeague #56" and "KPGA X-TRA Mega Match Tournament" with the SAME players on the same maps, and pretty much the same strats over and over again. With a couple of patches and a expansion pack WC3 will eventually be a bette game, just give it time. StarCraft wasnt that good game when it came. BW made it to what it is today.

the strats change. New move are seen, like jose vs boxer , and there is much to find. I don't understand your complain. Just ake a brake of 3 month and come back on brood war and you will see why it's better.

I don't know. Maybe it'll take another 1-2 years, before the top players reach the same level as the starcraft progamers and by then the games are more interesting to watch, but I have my doubts. Drazzzt

Harass? Nah, towers own flying units. Contain? On some maps, I guess, but what's the point? It doesn't help the container to expand all over the map, so you don't really gain a resource edge. You can't really out-mass when you contain either since its relatively easy to hit your cap. Out Macro? Nah, you don't need that many buildings so again its pretty easy to keep up with your unit building, and expanding. Deceive? I suppose there may be some ways to do this, but, as I said earlier its much harder when you have to keep your army in a big clump since smaller groups of units can't really do much on their own. You can't fly empty shuttles over your opponents base to draw some of their forces from the front lines, you can't feint your movements one way, and then go another, mainly because the units are too slow for it matter, plus with teleport scrolls... And lastly, the games missing that something like the excitement and challenge of dropping on your opponent's resource line, while simultaneously tank pushing. There's nothing really analagous to WarCraft3 in terms of generating that sort of excitement, at least for me. As a side note, fighting computer controlled units to level for the first 5 minutes, is like drawing out the initial build stages for StarCraft. Imagine watching someone building peons for 5 minutes and only having a barracks just finishing. Ick. That said. I'd like to hear some WarCraft players to sound off on why they really like the game. It would be interesting!

Anyways - I liked your post a lot Asjo, problem is a lot of people aren't going to discuss it maturely... I'd love to see honest, open debate, but this subject tends to degenerate into flamefests far too easily. Edit - Also, it's really not like this topic needs to be discussed much more than it has already been.
