My apologies if I'm not supposed to post about this kind of stuff. I had asked Scan to promote his guide pack on forums and discords (I mod for him sometimes on his Twitch) and he suggested that I help him out.

Light's guidepack is also Korean, 18 videos for $20, made in 2019 or so. People who really care about learning games, knowledges, game-sense, etc, language should not be mattered just like watching/learning football for new and fresh blood athletes.

So I'm not allowed to question Scan in a thread dedicated to a Scan guide/ video pack (that also violates TL policies)? The guy cares so little about the foreign fans that he won't even translate or add subtitles to his pack, but still expects foreigners to buy it. Seems to me that this would in fact be the ideal place to discuss such a thing!
Furthermore, I disagree strongly with you having done great things, in fact I think more often than not you're only looking out for yourself, which is why you cheated several times. Which is why you decided to ignore a boycott of a Chinese tournament that had Savior in it, and which is why you continuously went into foreign twitch channels to say "gg" and then advertise your own stream. It's not like your transgressions are all in the past, you continue to act selfish and without morals. After 10 years of such behaviour, the character of a man is quite clear.

I have to be the one to apologise here my friends, it was really my idea to make a post about this. I encouraged Scan to do it and he was busy at the time testing out maps for ASL and engaging with his viewers on Twitch, so I volunteered to make a post about it on TL and Reddit, and I also spammed a few discords.
I know Scan has a lot of fans, and figured some people might be interested in his guide pack. Sorry I didn't give too much thought about his tutorial videos being in Korean. I figured some valuable insights could still be gleaned from them, similar to watching replays.

first off, I'll recognize that saying no discussion is bad and that prohibiting it actually only helps scan. so yeah, my bad.
You are of course free to oppose the idea of a korean language guide being sold on TL, I'm fine with that considering that as tQ said it was more him advertising it and as far as TL's advertising policy itself goes, we don't have a strict no advertising policy, its very case by case and generally speaking good community members(in this case tQ and scan) tend to get a pass on this as long as its relevant to our community.
that being said, the argument of scan being a valuable member of our community or not is not relevant to this thread.

So your argument is that the rule doesn't apply to scan because he's a "good community member", but whether he actually is or isn't a good community member isn't relevant to this thread? That seems insanely contradictory to me. Especially considering he was actually caught cheating in a TL event (one of several times).
