There's a certain legendary pro gamer that may be considering a jump to Starcraft 2. I don't feel like I should reveal his name, but we're both wondering if the StarCraft 2 community would be interested in a big name coming over to their game.

What exactly is the point of this post? Without hearing who it is there's absolutely no context to answer your question. The two primary concerns would be whether you liked that person in their old game, and whether they were actually good at SC2. The before and after as it were. If they are good then yes. If the they are not good then the answer is maybe, depending on whether you were already a fan of their other play.

edit: For examples, see someone like Moon. If you liked Moon it was very exciting to see Moon play. If you weren't already a fan than it was was another medium zerg who didn't really do anything and disappeared.

Why not? Any interest is good interest, but I think making that switch is extremely difficult, especially if he wants to play competitively rather than streaming/make videos/commentate, and even there, the market is pretty tight.

Many SC2 players have tried to switch to MOBAs and failed. I have not heard of anyone going the other way, and there are really only WC3 and BW to switch from in the RTS world.

I don't even get this question, yes of course we are "interested" in anyone coming into our scene. I don't care if its a legendary player or not, everyone is welcome. Just know that if you can't practise korea or EU server without ping then you are unlikely to be able to improve to the level needed to even reach RO16s.

You should reach at least top 20 GM before on on korea or EU to even considering such a move though to be honest.
