I guess this is being very optimistic, but it would be cool to have something like a GSL in North America which would work closely with the on in Korea. Having another big tournament would be great, but having another big tournament that would (possibly once or twice a year) bring all the huge names in SC2 based on the tournaments together so that they can play it out would be amazing.

On a related note, didn't Blizzard mention big tournaments occurring around the world awhile ago?

Edit: On second thought, they could be wording their public statements like this in order to get hype for something that normally wouldn't get as much attention. We'll see.

Maybe not machine but can you really say that incontrol is "just moving" after the tweet he put out as well as the response on Weapon of Choice? Come on now...and that people very close to Gretorp have been told by him "you'll see" when asked why he's moving to LA. Hard to be a coincidence, it could be, but theres no way you can tell me incontrol is "just moving, nothing else"

Think it will be a big tournament sponsored by them and some others maybe, or a new league with big cash prizes similar to gsl. Either way i'm caught up in the hype lol. Hope to hear some news soon.

On one hand, it would be awesome if G4TV took some time to replace a few hours of their Cops/CampusPD/Cheaters marathons with some SC2 or e-sports programming. Definitely a first step towards an American version of OGN or MBC Game.

On the other hand, it would also be awesome if this was the formation of another big tournament, a la MLG or GSL style. The more tournaments the better.

With all this talk about the state of the SC2 scene in Korea, it is very comforting to know that the Western scene is growing by leaps and bounds.

I don't genuinely think G4TV would pick up some SC2 league thats not at all what I was saying, I guess it was just sort of an idea that there is a big plan in the works having to do with some big money for a SC2 league or maybe a tournament that could be high production, hence a move to LA. That or the location of LA just seems to be best for esports (its where most big things are anyways)
