At least the mirrors have some great players.
Hwasin vs PianO looks like a bad game at first glance, but earlier this season they played a great TvT on Medusa, so hopefully they bring some ownage to the table again. (if you haven't seen Hwasin vs PianO yet, WATCH IT NOW)
GGPlay > July This match could obviously go either way, but July is in a bit of a loosing streak ZvZ.
GuemChi > Notice Another match that could go either way. However, GuemChi seems to have a better PvT record than notice. Also, GuemChi put up an impressive performance against Flash - though he lost, I think he can take notice.
PianO > Hwasin PianO is doing quite well recently, as long as you only look at his TvT stats. His match list includes impressive wins over Leta and Hwasin himself. Hwasin has played on Rush Hour 3 twice this season, and lost both times. I don't think he will be able to pull out a win this time either.
3-0 for Hanbit. However, should one of the above hanbit players loose (very possible), then:
free > Kal Honestly, this is not possible to predict. Free's recent PvP wins are off of Bisu and BeSt, while Kal's are off of Stork and Pure. Both players play quite well on Medusa, so this is a tossup. I'm giving it to Free just because Kal is slightly more inconsistent. Face off of the Dragons - I hope the match gets this far, as it should be good.
Ace - if it were to get this far: free > Kal - or - GGPlay <<< Kal Sin Chupung-Ryeong is a map that both Free and GGPlay have been sent out on. Kal and Last are the only STX players to make an appearance, and I somehow doubt that Last will be sent out for the closing match. Free is capable of taking Kal, but I doubt GGPlay's ability to do so at the moment.
I would really like to see July pick up his ZvZ again and start winning, but it's a big hope. Also let's not forget that July has never won a game this season of PL where no one on his team has won before him(including when he plays 1st). That's probably just some stupid fact, BUT ITS A FACT.
These matches can go either way, but STX has been surprisingly successful with 2 of their star players in slumps (hwasin and July's ZvT/ZvZ). I think this will all depend on who wins between Kal and Free. The winner of that set's team will win the match.
If it goes to ace I'm going to say July for ace from STX if he win's his game vs ggplay, Calm otherwise. Free from Stars. July > Free or Free > Calm. Or maybe Kal if he wins his game, where he will lose the ace match, for that is the way of Kal (play amazing in 1 game and lose horribly the next).
Argh I'm not sure why but July's ZvZ has looked like his worst mu since beating luxury and rumble. I would think his micro would usually win it for him. Hopefully he can get ZvZ back in form. This looks like a 5 game set to me, hoping to see July ace again since he can probably destroy Free and I don't think stars can risk sending anyone else given calm, kal, and hwasin are all possibles.
Im a huge stx fan my fav team but stars are my second fav team. They need a win tonight they deserve higher rank then what they are currently and stx can afford a loss, for tonight and tonight only i hope stars over stx.
I can't believe people think July will take out Free if it goes to the ace. Free is overall 2-1 against July, that may be irrelevant since its from years ago, but Free is also kicking ass against Zerg lately. If it ended up Free vs. July in the ace, there's not a doubt in my mind that Free would take it.
