The "All-Star Match" is an event that has been in the BW scene for a long time, and was used as a fun post-season event during the KeSPA era as well as numerous foreigner-only leagues, such as CPL. We are modifying this format to better fit the population of LMaster's Beginner StarCraft Discord (click for invite link). Over the course of the past few months, we have had a number of grudges blossom, some very real and some more on the friendly "a showmatch would be cool" side. The time is ripe for the harvest.
Given the volume of planned matches, we will be hosting this event on multiple days and multiple weekends. We hope that you will tune in!
Here is the list of matches:
Match 1: Sunday, Mar 31 7:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) ChoboSwaggins vs. FlaShFTW Format: Bo5. Current ladder map pool. Both players have 1 veto. First map FS. Loser picks next.

The winners will receive small rewards on the server, and as always: pride, glory, and shit-talking rights.
All matches will be casted and streamed by one or more of the following: LMaster, Tim, AgGe, myself, and perhaps others!
Shout outs to our Grudge Match Officiator , yellowFoxbat (aka SeaKing66@TL)! His work was essential to this event.

Our community is diverse. We have more players below 1500 than above. However, as is natural, people who are above 1500 MMR are more active in general, which leads to them signing up for more events + participating more in chat + being more willing to put themselves out there. However, since you and others seem to have some issue with the fact that we have fun events where anyone can participate regardless of MMR, I will gladly let you know that father, LeaSt, and stromkarlen all joined the server when they were below 1500 MMR, and other new players enjoy these events so your cynicism is frankly unfounded.

When I joined, I was around 1300, when I had just started playing BW competitively for a month or so. Now I'm hovering 1600 thanks to all the helpful tips provided by LMaster, the KOTHs, and from others in the discord. And I'm still learning new things in discord.
Fun time guys, thanks for joining. Had a pretty good showing of 60+ and even casted some "fun" side matches after the main match. Good time and see you next time.
