I have a question specific to ZvZ. Sometimes I get drone scouted by a Zerg, but I never try to drone scout a Zerg. I've always believed the most effective method is to avoid losing mining time/minerals by sending your first overlord immediately to one of the bases closest to you and then follow-up by sending your second overlord to the other base closest to you, and eventually sending your first overlord to the cross position.
It just seems to me that in a mirror match it cannot possibly be worth losing hundreds of minerals for the sake of a faster scout. But yet I do run into players who send their drone to my base. And I'm not talking about sunk rushing. It's specifically just to scout and then leave. Maybe this is worth if you are doing a one base zergling rush?
Do any experienced Zergs here use drone scouts or should I stick with keeping them on the mineral line for any BO?
