Issues with Broodwar UDP LAN Play

I'm attempting to UDP LAN version 1.16.1 of Broodwar across 3 computers. 2 computers are Windows 10, and the 3rd is Windows XP lol. I'm doing this in hopes for a future friend Broodwar LAN party. So, I am trying to better understand UDP LAN in general. My firewalls allow Brood War safe passage, and I manually installed Bonjour (which apparently Broodwar automatically installs Bonjour anyway???) I had success LANing up on Broodwar 10 years ago on Windows 7...so IDK why I am struggling with this now And upon googling, a user somewhere said that in order to get Windows XP to run Broodwar UDP LAN, "IPX network protocols need to be installed..." And I don't even know where to begin with this. I am just completely lost with all of this :/ I appreciate any insight. Y'all are radical!

s_k_911 China363 Posts December 07 2023 08:11 GMT #5 sc:re use bonjour for lan with udp. sc1.16 use windows normal lan. All pc should be in the same lan workgroup and can ping each other. XP is such an old system.Some virtual lan software cannot support XP. For win7 win10 win11,I pefer softether to build a virtual lan for all sc players,and it really works.
