Played this game for 10 years when it came out and was in a casual but decent clan called the smurfs. It was the days when Merc was one of the better clans. Im trying to get back into it a little. Not the best but back in the day I could hang with some of the better players in the game, not elite but pretty good.
Anyway, are there any channels out there for games? I see the servers say there are X amount of games and X people but I cant find them in the channels listed for us. I'd like to join a channel with casual players for now and work my way up if I can get the skills back. lol
Thanks in advance.
Im willing to jump on any server with active players but preferably US East or West but Im not opposed to playing on the korean servers if I can find players to play.
Thanks in advance!

If you are looking for tutorial to get back in the up to date meta, Scan is selling tutorials anywhere from $30 ~$50 USD
His tutorials are quite amazing.

I used to play with a bunch of 'smurf clan' people almost 20 years ago. I PMed you my old alias, would be crazy blast from past if we're talking about same group.

Awesome, thanks for the channel.
Any good discords to shout out to find matches?

a lot of them are clan or league based but CPL has a discord with a LFG sub-channel and people from a lot of clans are on it so it s a pretty good start, aside from that I m not too familiar with more casual LFG ones unfortunately (sorry).

Thanks again!
I played a little SC2 and really liked it. I guess it's better to learn that then to try to keep an older game alive.
I just gotta nerd out to learn the new strats for starts-rushes and all the new units.
No more dominating with a fast hydra rush :D Pre expansion type stuff lol. Ya Im ancient.

I wish that I played StarCraft in 2022 like 2006-2009. That time, We (Vietnamese) have forum discuss StarCraft and do anything about StarCraft. We have a ProA team. We welcome Flash and Fantasy who came to Vietnam to participate in a tournament. We have a private channel looked like the Fish server to play games together.
My timeline:
2001: I know StarCraft from a friend 2001-2003: I play StarCraft with computers by cheat but I never use to command Operation cwal so I want to enjoy this game slowly. 2003-2004: Age of Empires II (best time for gaming in my life) 2004-2005: Gunbound (this game made me almost couldn't come over grade high school) 2005-2006: MU online (I spent all my time, health, money... on this game) 2006-2009: Playing StarCraft with the community in Vietnam (Luna, Python 1.3, BlueStorm) 2009-2017: Just watching VOD all games from OSL, MSL, ProLeague... (I was absent from some lessons at University to watch online these tournaments) 2017-2022: Playing StarCraft again and enjoying ASL...
