He was a great entertainer, a great caster and he did a lot for this game and believed in what he did. I enjoyed his humor and light hearted banter. I feel respect for the loyality he had. My condolences to his family and friends. Farewell Geoff “Incontrol“ Robinson.

My own relationship with him was from when people first told me about this good zerg player that I had to play. So I went into his channel and conquered his clan and as he was their leader he was next on the agenda. He went from rival, to fan, to friend, to sometimes an enemy, to friend, to afk facebook status friend over the last decade. A lot of Starcraft memories with him. He had a strong personality. He'd butt heads with many people. Don't worry about flame wars or your last words with the man, he enjoyed that sort of thing. He was on a debate team after all. I played with the guy for years and that's just who he is. It's part of what made him fun to be around, even if he was a frustrating meathead I'll say this because it might be helpful to anyone grieving. Whenever I lose people in life unexpectedly one of the things I find that helps is to think of the best qualities of that person and see if you can incorporate some of their own character strengths into yourself. That way part of them can live on forever. It's especially helpful for those who die too soon, because in a way you can carry some of their light into the future and help part of their spirit live on. You can take your own examples but having met the guy at WCG's Incontrol could be bold but could also temper his reading of the room to not make his customary jokes if he didn't feel it right. Or, that he was active and engaging and wasn't afraid to speak his mind. Actually, I'm not sure if that second last sentence is true about controlling his temperament. He pretended to be an ultralisk in a hotel room in Seattle while everyone was drinking and charged at a bunch of people knocking them over onto the beds and any other furniture that was in the room. Like a true ultralisk, he knocked multiple people over when he charged. He was a pretty burly guy after all. Overall people could tell what kind of man he was because he was social, friendly, and willing to extend a hand to people. RIP Geoff, you stupid, stupid bastard. It was fun growing up with you in Starcraft. It's a big, unexpected loss. Hey this really helps me out. I would never wish someone pain or grief because I disagree with them. In the end he is still a person with people who love and care about him. He made enemies but that all aside is small in the grand scheme of life. I would let go of my hate in a heart beat if that meant he would still be here to butt heads with us. Cheers to a guy we loved to hate.

Link to vid for those who are interested: (Who is Artosis) Having not followed sc2, I wasn't really too familiar with incontrol's antics, but after watching a couple clips, I really wish I could have seen of his personality! His brashness and humor are right up my alley. Say it straight and cut deep :D incontrol making day9 fall over laughing: MFK
