iirc, they did the vanilla Zerg campaign a few years ago, which was fairly interesting because it was a lot of YOLO running past things.

I haven't seen the campaign in years... really intriguing to see it many years later.

I also like speedrunning in general so EDIT: A fantastic promotion of the game too. Shootout to all involved in this idea/project

Also, the commentary was pretty good... couch-side casting. For instance, explaining 1 gap wall for zealot vs. zergling encounters, quickly explained F-keys, a bit on how upgrades work, and generally what different units and buildings do, etc. They even showed total recall at the end and tried to show the archon formation with hallucinated templars (but he failed on that lol) Hopefully some people who saw this (the Twitch chat itself seemed very active) will pick up SCR and grow the community. I think the overall good casting is a key point to help people get started. If the casting is lousy, it makes the game seem bad, so I'm glad they had some decent casters there.

Some misinformation here and there and less-than-pro micro, but it's good to see StarCraft getting a little attention. iirc, they did the vanilla Zerg campaign a few years ago, which was fairly interesting because it was a lot of YOLO running past things. This is the first time BW has been played at GDQ, the other times were SC2 by Raelcun (who commentated on the couch). It was a really good run with solid commentary. The final mission was so tense, things can go wrong at any point. I think it was a great promotion of the game

Whatever the case, glad to see BW on people's minds a bit
