I've recently come across a desktop application which nicely shows a list of active AfreecaTV streams and then lets you open a stream from a video player, e.g. VLC. However, it was designed for Linux.
I've quickly developed a native Windows desktop application which is very similar to above. Here is what it supports:
- AfreecaTV streams
- Twitch streams
I've not spent too much time on testing it and polishing it very much, so there could be bugs. Please let me know if you have comments or suggestions.

Note: This application depends on streamlink which isn't incredibly fast to open a stream, so be patient.
Update: No Command Prompt window is shown anymore, so if you click a button, just wait as before for video player to open. I removed the Command Prompt window so it doesn't take space on your task bar. Minified version does not have multiple languages for included VLC.
VLC could be found in zip archive, but more video players are supported. Check below for details.
streamlink, which is a dependency for this application, supports the following:
Daum Pot Player
MPC-HC - it works, I've tested it
MPlayer
mpv
QuickTime
VLC media player - it works, I've tested it
OMXPlayer
If you want to use one of them, go to "File" menu and select your video player's executable file. Then, click on player in application and wait for video player to open. It takes a few seconds though.
