Like those old Fighting Games and how they register input differently.
I think not fixing it is detrimental to high level play. Just like the delay that exists after selecting larva, these bugs punish players who are quick. It is also inconsistent in the way it punishes players because it depends on their particular mouse/keyboard actuation time. I outlined my argument here in the blizzard forum. I was just in Korea for 2 weeks and went to several PC cafes. After playing on several different keyboards/mice you can really tell that some exacerbate the issue much more than others.

As someone with an extensive SC2 background I LOVE this change, now I can spam a bit more without having to worry my inputs don‘t register because of flawed execution. I need this live asap!

Somehow players managed to reach astronomical highs without any changes necessary at all. It's almost as it if takes rhythm and intentionality behind your button presses so you can't just spam 11a1a1a1a1a1a1a or whatever.
Make no mistake, this is an ease-of-access change for noobs. No one that I know of that actually dedicated any time to this game has any issues with the extant state of affairs.

Point in case.

I need this live asap! Point in case. I'm a big fan of this fix for the same reason. I play both SC1 and SC2 a fair amount. Switching back to SC1 after an SC2 game the issue much more noticeable. From a studio and developer stand point, it makes sense to fix it as it merges the game mechanics closer without actually being a massive change. But as you said, myself and many others have learned to cope with it.

For myself, playing 10+ years, I don’t even have the issue and if I do it happens so little I don’t even notice and probably always chalked it off as some misclick. I never even exactly knew what this whole fix was about.
It’s not changing anything part of the fundamental game and it’s not like it’s going to benefit players who are already mechanically sound (eg this fix wont help me except for those very few minor misclick that happen to anyone, I guess). It just helps some new players a little bit to start out... so why not?

Like those old Fighting Games and how they register input differently. It sure does suck, now you are no longer able to not press M+K no more. Whenver you press both, your skill is going to decrease by 0.23%. Be careful! Nah I'm not this kind of person, for SC I'm casual player depending on how you look, I like practicing BOs but as internet where I live is hot garbage no way I'm gonna add lag to the experience so I'm happy just watching amazed how pros deal with this limitation, it almost looks like it doesn't exist for them while many times I got my armies Warcrafting2 on a corner of the map because the number key and click was misstimed hahahahahah.
This also happens on Singleplayer.

Most players in the early 2000s onward played with launchers that fixed the issue. Pros had been playing with this already fixed. I would agree with the idea that it is a skill you can improve at, but it's something that was a non-issue for over a decade before SC:R. It should be fixed

depends rly on how high ur apm is, for me with between 300-400 i have alot of problems with it often after i played to much sc2 xD (where i have 80 because who the hell needs more there xDD)

This is a good fix. I've been playing sc forever and I still have issues with this because I try to go too fast (i have high apm) but I lack efficiency in my clicks, so sometimes my input doesnt record because of this. I don't remember even once having issues like this when I spent some times on SCII. The game will just feel smoother, not easier. this is good.
