Inspired by Day[9], Artosis, & iNcontroL, I will be starting a live-streaming series where I will be deeply analyzing player-submitted replays, specifically geared towards new and lower level players! Tune in to learn some Starcraft and feel free to ask any and all questions you might have.
The event will be described as follows..
A six-episode series each roughly spanning 2 hours in length
Each episode will focus in on analyzing a single non-mirror matchup where viewers are welcome to have all their questions answered about the game
Each analysis session will also end with a general Q&A, if any
Some episodes may feature special guests to help with co-cast and analyze with their respective levels of expertise
The series schedule will be tentatively as follows and will be aired at www.twitch.tv/jaeyun. You are still free to submit replays even if you cannot make my stream due to time zone differences. The VODs will be available on my Twitch channel after each episode.
Matcherino is PROUDLY sponsoring this event at the link here. You can donate $0.50 for this event free of charge by using the following coupon codes for each episode:
Episode #1: zvt
Episode #2: tvz
Episode #3: zvp
Episode #5: tvp
Rules for Submitting Replays for the Show
To start, please join the 'Replay & Analysis' section of my Discord here
This is tailored to lower-level players, so you must be around ~1200 to 1900 MMR. The reason I do not go lower is I want to make sure there is enough structure to the game itself for it to be helpful for other viewers
Submit your replay by uploading the file in 'Replay Submissions' section with a comment in the following format: "In Game User ID, MMR, Race, Question(s)"
Example: Jaeyun[Media], 1500, Zerg, How can I get my 4th base out with this build? Can you provide insight on how to better execute and optimize this timing push at 7:30?
Please indicate in the comment if you are my subscriber - you will have priority in replay selection
Support is by no means necessary, but greatly appreciated! I don't know if this kind of content will be helpful for anyone, so I will re-evaluate whether or not I want to continue at the close of the sixth episode. If there's support and demand, I can think of new ways to structure these episodes, ranging from bringing on more prominent guests to talk SC:R at large, going over top ASL/KSL pro games, and much more.
See ya'll soon! This will be the official thread outlining any and all updates to this event.
this is great! You plan on uploading the vods to youtube? in case u do i am interested in making translations to spanish so the latin community can benefit from your series too.

That sounds amazing! I might need some time to get that all set up but will keep you in the loop. Thank you for offering.
To anyone else wondering who I am, that's definitely a fair question. I'm not a top player by any means and if you're looking for the best foreigner streamers to model your game off of - I would recommend watching players like Dewalt, Eonzerg, Dandy, Terror, Bonyth, etc. They are all excellent and stream quite regularly.
The purpose of this event/series is to provide a gateway for newer players to have their games analyzed directly by an experienced player and to provide an outlet for asking any and all questions they may otherwise be afraid of asking to someone else.
Cool. It would also be nice to just have a scr talkshow that discusses recent events. Pylon show is a sc2 show where Artosis gets 15 minutes to talk about his favorite game. We could use something like it for starcraft1.
Thanks all, and for the suggestions. This event can definitely go in many different directions - it really comes down to what works best and what the people want!
My eventual hope is to pivot this series into something more like a talkshow like Rodya mentioned, but until I figure out what content works best for my audience, I'm going to keep it predominantly educational content. Definitely feel free to ask questions during the stream or during the Q&A session if you want an in-depth discussion about a strategy!
--Edit
Nyoken is confirmed to guest star on the TvZ and TvP series!
This looks great, ill definitely recommend any CPL player to watch. Jaeyun has been really contributing a lot to the foreign community lately and is quite a strong player himself.

Great 1st episode! Gj! Looking forward to episode #2. Really liked the insight given. I highly recommend watching this show to every none-top-player...and to all the actually-top-players: please turn in as well and support, answer questions and share your knowledge!
Whew, got through episode #1! I will try to cut the stream VOD and upload it on YouTube in the next few days, but you can fastforward to it in my vods at twitch.tv/jaeyun.
This was my first time ever doing something like this, so I'm still new and working towards what works, improving production quality and whatnot. I think having Nyoken next Wednesday will help out more, and add some more dynamics. Please let me know if anyone has any constructive criticism or any suggestions for the show! I'll try my best to take them into account. Next week's agenda - might cut down on the viewer submitted replays to talk more about Sharp vs. SoulKey.
Also, it was really helpful having high level players like TT1 or Bakuryu in the chat answering questions on my behalf as I was going on with the show - it's hard for me to stop and answer without interrupting the flow! Shoutouts to them and anyone else I may have missed.
Maybe to save time on the replays, you could pick a particular question/theme from the info the viewer gave, and just focus completely on that. For instance, if a person can't decide when it's safe to take a fourth, you can skip through the game until you get to a point where you start receiving information that impacts that decision.
Might be harder and take more preparation though. It looked like you were doing overall coaching critiques of the games for the most part; which is super helpful, but perhaps takes too much time.
All, I will be airing Episode #2 tomorrow at 4:00pm PDT with Nyoken going over TvZ. Looks like we have no replays submitted but if any Terrans want some helpful advice, please feel free to submit. If not, we will likely go over pro replays and do a post-game analysis of Sharp vs. Soulkey.
Sorry for not uploading the older episodes. They are available in my VOD history but moving forward I will be recording and uploading to YouTube. Will try to download them and cut to put them up. Thanks!
Make sure you guys submit your PvZ replays for tomorrow's show! Nyoken will be joining me to analyze replays and also talk through various SC:R topics!
Thanks for this again Jaeyun, I enjoyed watching the TvZ episode back. I watched back a few of my own replays and I saw im missing a lot of SCVs which is kind of funny as before I had the problem of making like 90 of them per game and having no army.
I'll continue to focus on SCV production for now and just camping outside the bases.
Thanks all for your words and all who are enjoying!
As a reminder, Episode #5 will air tomorrow at 4:00pm PDT and we will be going over TvP with Nyoken. Get your TvP replays in and take advantage of Nyoken's top-notch Terran knowledge.
Last episode with Nyoken was a lot of fun. I have to admit the format with the two of you works really well. You complement each other styles nicely. Nyoken with the historical knowledge and the big picture view on the matchups and you with the micro details/timings.
You should definitely try doing this beyond this series (maybe with Artosis?). Perhaps commentate on pro matches from the next ASL/KSL, or maybe FPVODs from the top pro gamers since they're all on youtube anyway.
As a reminder, we will be live in about an hour with Episode #5! I'll also be guest-featuring Nyoken & Gypsy for a little Team [Media] episode. Feel free to tune in and also ask questions towards the end.
The last episode #6 is now on YouTube for those who missed it:
That wraps up the six-episode series, guys. Really hope you guys enjoyed it and if it was helpful or educational to even one person, it'll have been worth it for me. For an update to those who couldn't watch yesterday, I've been quite busy with things outside of SC:R lately - considering career changes, work getting busy, and supporting my wife who also started working. That said, I do want to think about whether or not I want to continue a talkshow of some sort, but at a lesser frequency, maybe once a month or something.
Also, huge thank you to both Nyoken & Gypsy for co-casting and helping me with this show! Be sure to check out their streams in the future.
This series was great, although I must point out that in the beginning remarks concerning scouting and reasoning upon gathered information were more precise than in the last video. For (possible and expected) future episodes I would greatly enjoy: - mirror matchup videos - map impact on choice of strategy video - "exploiting opponent errors" video (=what's wrong in this picture and how can one benefit on that) - anti-cheese video - more analysis of low (1200-1700MMR) replays
