 Maybe A attack?Muta sniping medic / HT? M move? M + left click -> A + right click? Muta vs turret? Patrol or hold? or M move? just when use these? A + left click on target A + left click close to target M + left click -> A + right click M + left click -> right click hold patrol any else, how to micro with muta? Can anyone help me please? thx | ||

Edit: The reason I like hold position more when I have more mutas is because they won't focus the same target. Edit 2: For clarification when I say A-click I simply mean either A+left click or right-click on the target and NOT A-move. | ||

Right click or A attack whenever you need to kill a single target, whether medic, or turret or HT. Hold vs marines when you want to maximise damage to a bunch or marines as the shots can spread out over more than one marine and hopefully kill at least 2 marines per "shot". It's normally not very helpful otherwise. Perhaps can also be used to kill undefended worker lines in the fastest time if the opponent is distracted somehow. If the marines attack from too close a position, make sure that your timing and distance is correct and that can only come with practise. Lack of lag also helps. When you left click to move it is to make sure that mutas are facing the target before firing and to turn quickly away right after shooting. I think mutas need to be within 30 degrees to shoot at the target straight away and can only turn to a target within 135 degrees instantaneously. | ||

M + P for a fast, single hit on a target that is difficult to target (like a moving marine, moving ling etc). Also works well when changing direction H when attacking multiple targets, e.g few marines, SCV line if you have many mutas P in front of muta when being chased by scourge etc. | ||

Patrol can be useful if you need more focused shots or otherwise desire to give your Mutas directional orders as well (for example vs Scourge, Turrets or SCVs in a mineral line). You can use M-move plus rightclick to focus down key targets that are low on attack priority, like Medics or HTs. Be aware though that attacks issued this way will be noticeably slower than hold position or patrol attacks, exposing your Mutas to counterfire for a longer amount of time. M-clicking on a target is usually not even necessary as long as you come in at the right angle. Never use A-attack commands. They give you no advantage over any other option and, like standard right click attacks, only start the actual attack with a small delay. The most important thing to learn with any air unit micro is to judge the attack range right to minimize the exposure to counterfire. | ||
