7) Game 3 saw you lose a macro game to hero after having such a strong hold on the game. What was running through your mind after hero's first drop succeeded? At what point do you believe that the game was lost?

Flash: herO’s speed was very fast and he made continuous drops which was very good.

Somehow it seems things have gotten lost in translation in this interview.

Whoever actually did the interview, did it seem like a hectic time and/or that Flash didn't really wanted to be interviewed then? He seemed to be okay talking just a smidge about the games, but absolutely none of the non-direct ASL content.

Maybe he had a hard time understanding the questions, or they were just difficult to answer. Language barrier too strong. Felt a bit like the questions also were trying to show off the intelligence of the interviewer, rather than finding what was interesting to Flash about the finals (which may be more a result of the logistics of the interview I guess).

Pretty emotionless. "Bisu was my rival" was more like Bisu was the second strongest player in the tournament.

Sad to hear he didn't go nukes just because he didn't want to be rude to Hero. The scene is so starved for creative plays. This is the whole reason everyone loved jumping on the Shine train last season. And apart from Flash, Shine was really taking everyone to school. In comparison, this season was a lot less fun.

While it's true that the answers weren't anywhere as in-depth as was hoped for, I don't personally believe that Flash was trying to be disrespectful to the foreign community. As far as I'm aware, he's off on some trip so he may have answered the questions in a hurry without realizing just how vague etc... he was being. Just speculation on my part of course.

Also, Flash has done several interviews for TL for both Starcraft communities in recent years and as waxangel pointed above, they have been good interviews. Here's an example of an interview that took place during ASL2:

A couple of other points to clarify:
1) This was not a live interview, aka, staff only came up with the questions and they got sent off. Afreeca handled the translations to and from Korean. In other words, everything past the first step was out of our hands so there was no way for TL to set the mood, ask for clarifications or ask followup questions.
2) Some of the answers feel a bit disjointed when you consider what was asked. Once again, no telling what happened but there is a possibility that things got lost in translation or were misunderstood.
3) Questions were aimed at the following categories: general, finals, balance and the current scene. They took into account the fact that Flash already talked about the games quite a bit on his stream (see translation thread post by jinjin) so, there was no point in asking a question that we had an answer to. Rather, the questions were aimed at topics that were of some interest to the foreign community (thought process, mech transition, current scene vs kespa (skill level etc...)).
