Suggestion Top vs Bottom Starting Location change

So I know the 2vs2 scene is not as big in BW, but I still think it is a fun game mode. Currently however it is has its own share of problems. There are only 2 standard teams TZ and PZ. ZZ is considered imbalanced. With Remastered coming out and hopefully a 2v2 ladder, I hope there is a fix to this issue, because I want to play TP or PP or ZZ without having to worry too much about the advantages/disadvantages of the match-up.

So this is where we can take inspiration from other RTS games like wc3 and sc2. Starting locations where allies spawn close to each other. Currently Top vs Bottom game mode just fully randomizes the starting location and the only way to have fixed location is through the game mode UMS. Having an option to fix spawning position for a team might help fixing the above mentioned issues.

Actually I think it's a great idea. Wouldn't touch 1v1 balance, as it's sacred (not even exaggerating).

Yes, it's definitely a good idea.
Currently you can just build maps with "Use map settings" that have fixed spawns

It would be great for a few maps, not all of them like sc2.

I m actually curious how it would impact the various MUs and we (bwcl) would be happy to trial a few, as long as it s not UMS. Mayne shield battery could handle it?

i love it too. spawning close to allies is nice.

Maps with closer spawn for allies exist but only work in UMS mode

Which is a big no-no for competitive leagues, potential for abuse is way too high

in theory you could have an arbiter/admin host the map.
