CBY: In today’s first round of 8 game, Hero what was the score?
Hero: 3-2.
CBY: Taking it to the final set, Hero takes the victory and advances to the round of 4 first! Big round of applause please! Hero, you took the first game with ease then lost two games. Then bringing back to a 2-2 tie score you were able to take that last set to secure you the victory. Your thoughts?
Hero: I really struggled but I won so I feel good.
CBY: You don’t seem that happy (laughs).
Hero: I think it was the most satisfying win so far.
CBY: It was a real battle of endurance going the full 5 games! In the last game, Mong may have predicted mutalisks in the last game but you surprised everyone, casters included, with your choice to go hydralisks. I did you plan to do this?
Hero: On the last set, it was cross position so I had planned to do a lurker management game but I got scouted by the SCV. So I thought about whether I should or not and thinking about it now I think it was a good decision to.
CBY: After you made that choice, the game looked in your favor but you ran into some dangerous moments through the game. Was there something that gave you that extra push, that motivation to win?
Hero: I was playing the game and I just felt confused. I kept thinking to myself “What am I doing? Why am I engaging here?” I felt if I lost in this game, the viewers would bash me a lot so I focused and started to play better.
CBY: So you focused and played better because you didn’t want to face the backlash from the fans?
Hero: Yes.
CBY: (laughs) I see. Fans, Hero won so please give him your support and cheers! Hero is the first to advance today! Congratulations!
Group B Interview

CBY: Movie advances to the round of 4! Big round of applause please. Your pale face is flushed with red right now. How do you feel?
Movie: My condition today is not very good so I was very worried. I really REALLY think my luck today was good so I advanced. If I play like this in the round of 4 I feel like I might lose, I’m going to have to adjust my condition and prepare for the game.
CBY: Are you sick? Is your condition that bad?
Movie: I have some insomnia. I slept really late last night, that’s probably the reason.
CBY: You heard that right, male fans? [T/N: This is kind of a joke from the pregame interview when there was an uproar for Movie from the male fans in the audience and the interview girl asked what’s his secret to attracting so many guys] I’m sure you guys will search the internet for teas and remedies that help aid sleeplessness. The casters today predicted maybe the set would end quickly but HiyA wasn’t able to break the curse [T/N: another bit from the pregame intervieww who HiyA said Mong and him always advance together or drop out together] and ended up losing. The games seemed to be flowing in your favor then one mistake put you in the danger zone. How do you feel about the games?
Movie: I won the third game and I was ahead but I felt if I continued to play like this I would lose. Game 4... probably one of my worst games. I treated the 5th game like it was my last and played without regrets and I was relieved I won. I’m glad I got the results I needed.
CBY: A round of applause please! Today’s games were truly amazing. Game one, game two all the way to game 5 and every game a heated late game battle. To both of our round of 4 advancements, congratulations!
Group C Interview

Hakyung: Bisu advances to the round of 4! Congratulations Bisu! Today’s games were quite a challenge for you, what are your thoughts on advancing?
Bisu: You know how I said if I won the first game I’d win 3-0? But, losing the first game made me feel like I might not be able to win today. I focused but the games just didn’t seem to go my way. I didn’t think I’d be able to win.
Hakyung: After facing off against Larva’s rather all-in play and his constant zergling runby’s it seemed as though you were tilting slightly. I’m sure there were points in the game that you were not satisfied with?
Bisu: I thought I played well today it’s just Larva played incredibly well especially with the zergling control in game 1 and 3.
Hakyung: So games 1 and 3 was rather damaging to your mentality but you were able to focus and come back strong in the 5th game. How did you go about doing this?
Bisu: Game 5 I saw as being in my favor having prepared a one base build I felt I won in the psychological battle. I almost always use fast expand builds and I think Larva was surprised by my choice to one base. From there, I was able to control the game and play at my pace.
Hakyung: You really were able to find your pace in the last game. There’s quite a lot of female fans in the audience today. Are you guys Bisu fans? Show of hands? (laughs) Any words you’d like to say to the fans?
Bisu: I found Larva to be the hardest possible opponent for me so I’ve gained more confidence to win. I figure the round of 4 should not be as difficult as today’s games were. I will try my hardest to win SSL.
Hakyung: Round of applause please! Bisu advanced today! And one more round of applause for Larva who, even with his back injury, played his best to the very end. I’ll see you guys after after Group D’s match!
Group D Interview

Hakyung: Kwanro is the last to advance into the round of 4! You played some awesome games that were very fitting to your all-in style. Your feelings on advancing to the round of 4?
Kwanro: I’m still a bit dazed (laughs). Round of 4 is quite an achievement, I’ve climbed up quite high into the bracket.
Hakyung: You really do seem dazed. Maybe it’s because the games ended so quickly. You stuck true to your style of play, it seems like your mind was made up on what you’d do today.
Kwanro: If I don’t play like this, the games tend to get really weird. I feel like this is my playstyle and I win games because of this style of play.
Hakyung: In the last game, your high templar sniping with the mutalisks seemed like the key point in snatching you the victory. Your thoughts?
Kwanro: I remember that part in the game quite well (laughs). As Protoss brings his army, the high templars are real slow you know? So they fall behind. I positioned the mutalisks in a way so that thye were ready to cut them off and I think that played a key role in bringing me the win.
Hakyung: I agree. What does FIX Starleague mean to you?
Kwanro: Before, around the time I retired, my competitive spirit, that undying will to win faded away. I feel after having started streaming on Afreeca and playing in leagues.. it feels great!

Also, hero taking out Mong was surprising considering ZvT isn't his strongest matchup(weakest as I recall).
