KT Group Interview "Samsung Khan? Easy victory."

Flash? Is that some sort of camera?

(T/N: I was not sure about play-off format, I will refer to round 2 as semi-final and round 3 as grand final in this interview.)

Although they did not get first place and earn guaranteed spot on the finals, the faces of KT progamers were bright. After all, they have ended their losing streak and embellished with victory their last match of the round. Excellent performance of (T)BarrackS and (Z)Action especially gave hope to the prospect of KT's success in the play-offs.

Q: You managed to break your losing streak before the play-offs. You must be glad.
(P)Stats = There was some discouragement, but fortunately I won and team won so today turned out to be great opportunity to improve our spirits- I feel good about that. My parents came to cheer me on and that emboldened me much.

(T)BarrackS = It was good to win but I think I mostly won because playing against the rookie made me more tense. (laugh) Instead of being satisfied I want to be more better.

(Z)Action = I know the competition isn't exactly over since there are play-off remaining, but I am quite dissatisfied with the current season. However, the remaining matches are what is truly important so I will try my best to do well.

Q: I heard that you were quite determined to win today.
BarrackS = When I was told that I was going to be played, I only thought about the game for entire day. I truly wanted to win. The team facing us at the play-offs better be frightened of me. (laugh)

Q: You must have been unsatisfied with the score this season.
Action = First it was probably because of nervousness. Then I kept losing and ended up following the negative flow. Looking back it's very unfortunate. For play-offs I can win with calm mind and sufficient preparation. Of course things will be hard from now on, but I think I'm going to perform better.

Q: With 11 wins you became the protoss with 3rd most victories along with (P)Bisu.
Stats = My record this season was great, but the problem is that I only did well on round 1 and 2 which eventually served to make up for my terrible play on round 3. It's really disappointing that I missed the chance to become the most winning protoss by being weakened at round 3. However there is still first-season, so there'll be plenty more time to show my good performance.

Q: You seem to be invincible when you get to defilers.
Action = Previously I was convinced that I could always win with the defilers. But my confidence has eroded up to the point I am no longer confident in that thought anymore. I think I erred on the match by trying to reach the late-game perfectly. I'll try to fix this problem from now on.

Q: Which team do you want to advance to the play-off?
Stats = All coaching staff and players believe it doesn't matter who advances, that we will absolutely go to the grand finals.

Action = CJ seems better to handle. I don't know much about skill of CJ progamers but I practice frequently with Woongjin Stars and they play really well.

BarrackS = I also think CJ is going to be better. Woongjin practiced with us a lot so we understand each other quite much, in contrast to CJ we haven't practiced much against.

Q: Your parents came to the stadium today.
Action = My parents had come to the important matches three times and I lost all of them. Today's game had not been really important so I was able to play quite relaxed and that's probably why I won. Either way I'm really glad about winning since I was going to resent my parents if I lost. I don't know about my parents making me play better but it did feel really good to win with them being here. I want to have the same experience again.

Stats = I am more motivated to win when my parents are here. Honestly I wanted to play with comfortable mindset but I really couldn't empty my mind after hearing the news. (laugh) Fortunately I wasn't too nervous at the game and successfully won. I wish my parents visited frequently.

BarrackS = I want my parents to come at the grand finals. (laugh) It'll make me much more encouraged.

Q: Samsung Khan said they want the KT to advance. What do you think about that?
Stats = I hadn't really thought about it much because I was too focused on the match today, but hearing it now makes me very determined to win semi-finals. When we meet Samsung Khan we'll pull off perfect victory and make them eat their words.

BarrackS = Instead of words I'll show them in the match.

Action = I actually lost a lot against Samsung Khan so I can't really say much, but I don't think it is going to be hard.

      Q: Any last words.
BarrackS = Thanks to the teammates who helped me with the practice. Since today was last match of the season I really wanted to win and I'm happy my wish had been granted. Our team will advance to the grand finals no matter what so cheer a lot for us. Also congratulations to (T)Flash for having played five years since his debut, I wish he continues playing well.

Action = Thank you to my parents for taking the trouble to come here, and I'll continue to win frequently so please cheer me on. With the basic season over, I also thank the fans and interested parties and we will try hard to produce good results in all important matches.

Stats = I'm grateful to (T)Mind for helping me with the practice, and many thanks to my parents and fans who cheered for us. Please continue to cheer for us at the play-offs. Flash met his 5th year of progaming and I am not the one with the 5th year anniversary (?) That's a joke and I hope he is together with us for 6th and 7th year as well.

I suffered quite a lot for not being native english speaker here, but hopefully there isn't any point where it is too confusing for you to understand.

You seem to be invisible when you get to defilers.

WOW!

Lol, actually, I think the word you're looking for is "invincible." :p

edit: I hope o.O

Huh? For me the mistake that you are referring to seems to be invisible.

You don't seem to nearly have much of a problem when your team call out other teams :o As compared to the KHAN's interview at least? ^_^

I'm wondering if it might be possible for you to take questions from the community for future interviews? Many of these questions were the kind we would find from media who do not follow the scene closely.

The OP didn't conduct the interview, neither did Teamliquid in any way at all... it's kindly translated by the OP from a Korean website called DES (Daily Esports).
May the BeSt man win.

They are locked for the playoffs so its better to give non-flash members time on stage to get them ready since the playoffs are bo7, they'll need more than flash and stats to carry games (though having ace matches will help)

It's good Khan-KT are starting a rivalry.

The only real rivalry for the past three years has been KT/SKT1. Need new team rivalries.
