[Help] Starcraft screwing up on Vista

Hey, every time I try and run starcraft on vista it just minimizes every time I try to go into it. The only way I can bypass this, is if I click rapidly on the screen right after I try restoring SC.

After that though, if I try and start a game ( on Bnet or single player) it just closes. So, I was wondering if anyone on TL would know what to do.

Any help would be nice

I've been playing Starcraft on Vista (32-bit) for over 2 years and have never had anything like that happen. I doubt it's because of Vista. O_o

Are you using any special loaders(I.E Chaos, iCCup, ADVloader) that might be causing it?
Also try running it as an administrator if you haven't.

i dont think its Vista... a Vista problem would be like u need admin accounts or something. U prolyl have a virus (yeah i know huh? even with the new user protection scheme?)

Try re-installing sc, and if u find a problem with u other programs.. then I think its time for a back-up first then reformation of the disk.

Would the fact that I deleted my plug ins folder effect this? I deleted it cause Iccup launcher said that if I didn't I might get kicked from games :/

Also, I just tried running another program and it worked fine...

Un, and then Reinstall everything or do a system restore. You can't afford to go w/o sc!

I have crashes similar to this in Vista, my game just shuts off or it crashes and messes up the color scheme and resolution, however with XP on Win7 it works fine though. Honestly it may be a hassle but you should check out the free Win7 beta. It fixes a lot of the performance problems of Vista but still has the look and feel of it. In other words, it takes XP's under-the-hood mechanics and uses Vista's graphics. That's a win-win right there.

Sorry for going on a tangent about Win7, but it will fix the problem- just a long way to go about it

I don't think that would affect anything. Can you give more info on your specs and stuff?
