Everyday you're beaten. Tossed into the ground. Forgotten. Unloved and unwanted.
Everyday you wake up. You go through the motions of the day. You strive toward being a better person, and shedding your ugly shell.
Maybe you just want a little. Maybe you want a lot. Maybe you want the whole damn world to beg forgiveness at your feet.
Do you deserve that? Do you deserve what you have now? You answer solemly, "no, I don't."
But you don't stop trying. You don't stop breathing, or kicking, or screaming every step of the way. You want the little things.
You want the special things.
You dream. You feel yourself enveloped in your desires. You keep reaching out to grasp it, but it's always too far away.
But you don't stop. No matter how far away, how painful, how frustrating, you keep reaching out.
Here is to impossible dreams, and chasing them anyway.

I'm confused. The message is: depressed people should chase their dreams? I always was under the impression that depression meant you couldn't chase dreams, couldn't feel anything really. It's like saying, "cheer up and you won't be depressed! :D"
on a side note, man, I hate studying for this class.

Sadness is not the same as numbness, I think. What you're describing is a trauma victim.
I'm not saying to cheer up either. I'm just saying not to stop.
Then again, I've been drinking. That's part of the reason it ends abruptly... I wanted to get myself another glass..

Ah we have a semantics problem here: depression is the clinical disease to me, not a mere bout of sadness. Sadness is a normal part of life, we all experience it and yes, your motivating post does help lift ourselves out of it. Depression is... worse heh.
But anyways, yes, I think of that too... how can we stop. Life is the only thing we know and it's never-ending (until y'know, death). The good, the bad, the ugly - it's all part of life and I do agree we've just gotta plod on through it all

I dont see how this could possibly help anyone who was depressed.
I was depressed when I was younger and I am sure this would of just made me to tell you to "shut the fuck up".
You seem to lack an understanding of what depression is or the way depressed people think.

I have MDD and MAD. It inspired me :D
It's not supposed to make anyone happy. It's just supposed to romanticize the lives of those who are dealing with it.
