Hey guys, i've kind of considered blogging a few times before because i've been really trying to up my starcraft game.
Anyway, i finally decided to make this because i've recently bet 125 kuna (according to google, 125 kuna = roughly 23 US dollars) with a friend on who could stay up the longest.
The rules are simple, you must stay up the longest without the use of any hard drugs (caffeine pills, cocaine, methamphetamines etc.), and you must send an IM roughly every 15 minutes.
I'm currently at 2 days, 9 hours, 23 minutes. This is really difficult, and i'm not thinking clearly.
I will post every successive 12 hours until i give in to the stress. Right now i'm on my 3rd pot of coffee. Wish me luck!

This is a very bad idea. You should just take the 125 kuna loss, and let you and your friend sleep, for both your sakes.

i'm not really worried about hallucinations, from what i'm read, they appear to be rather mild (although the trip is almost always "bad"). What i've seen so far is just a faint sparkle when i move my head. And i keep hearing snatches of faint music etc. All in all, i dont think this will be so bad. I've got atleast another 12 hours in me.

I remember in junior year of high school some kid tried to do this and felt like he was gonna die when he nearly made it a week lol

The longest I've gone without sleep was about 60 hours, I didn't feel to great at the end of it. My friend managed like 3 and a half days or so I think and he was seriously freaking out by the end of it, like falling asleep in the middle of a conversation, waking 5 minutes later and continuing to say what he had been when he fell asleep when we were now talking about something completely different.
You'll probably last a while longer and end up falling asleep at your computer lol, good luck with the bet.

I bet your friend is sleeping atm.

I'm wondering why a caffeine pill is considered a hard drug but coffee is allowed.

At first I thought maybe caffeine pills had a ridiculous amount of caffeine in them, but apparently the average pill has the same amount of caffeine as 1-2 cups of coffee. Then again, you could take like a fistful of pills and wash them down all at once so you get the effect of a pot of coffee without actually having to drink it...but that still doesn't seem like too much of an advantage compared to coffee.
Unless caffeine pills are slang for something else in Croatia.

Caffeine pills are higher concentrate pills/ larger doses than you could buy at the store. These are the doses/ concentrations taken for recreational doses, and they are MUCH stronger than coffee. (ala erowid: http://www.erowid.org/experiences/exp.php?ID=43308)

I've never forced myself into staying up for multiple days in a row, but the only times that I 'accidentally' didn't sleep for one night, I spent the next day taking a nap everywhere I went (even in public. Have you tried forcing an adrenaline rush into you? I've always found that helpful when I'm dozing off in class or something. Also, are you a masochist?
