Its about 10am and I've been up all night. Here is how it started...
A friend of mine made a nice review of a game called 'Mass Effect' and how its cool and has a good story and everything like that. I go to EBgames and I buy it for 19.99. Anyways, I Ignore the warning that Geforce 7300 LE is below the minimum requirements. I install it on my PC and spend the next hour restarting my PC over and over after the game crashes my video card every time I run it and reading forums finding out if their are any fixes.
Anyways, I decide I wanna play an RPG and since I already have Knights of the Old Republic on my PC, then I decide to play that again. I had only played that for about 30 minutes when I first installed it a while back before playing SC again lol. I just got to the part where your pod lans on the city and I just wake up and I need to explore the city etc.
[Spoilers Below for those who have not played the game]
Anyways, so I'm playing it and I was thinking the story is kinda stupid and whatever but I got more and more into it. I keep getting Dark side points cause I pick the easy things. There is one point where I need this part for a speed racer or something and orginally you make a plan with a rival gang to steal it from them. So you go to the undercity and find this girl and then find her wookie and she leads you to the secret entrace of the votrek gang or whatever its called.
So I get their and after killing eveyone in their (it wasn;t easy) they offer me that I can kill the leader of the other gang (the good one) and I decided that. So I end up going back to kill them and failing each time. I septn 30 minutes trying to kill that gang leader and his guard and I basically had to run each of my party members out 1 by 1 just so I could go back to my hideout and get my health back and stuff.
Anywyas, I go back to that enemy gang base and steal the part that I need. So I'm thinking....hey I have the part so now when I go to the first gang I was working with they won't think I am trying to kill them but nooo... they keep attacking me everytime lol. So I'm wondering around the level in the enemy gang base and here and their and in the bars and sewer till I kill enoughh of those mutant monsters and go up levels. Then I kill the leader of the rival gang and go back. Get my speed racer and win the race and free basitle. Then we go to the sith base and get the code
MAN THIS GAME IS AMAZING. I've been playing it like 12 hours straight. NO JOKE. My game time is like 9 hours from going back and forth and back and forth and I didn't firgure out till I killed everyone in the sith base that i could change party members without going back to my hideout LOL
Anyways, We escaped the planet and I'm about to see the jedi counsel. Man this game lets you have so much freedom. I'll probably be a Jedi on the good side.
------------
Also, normally I don't get into games. I have so many games installed on my PC that I've never finished. I'll start them and get bored and play Starcraft. The games I have on my PC but never finished the campaign are:
Doom 3 (beat first episode and got bored) COD4 Final Fantasy Tactics Final Factasy Tactics Advance (1/4 Finished) Golden Sun (finished it before but was replaying) Golden Sun: The Lost Age (same as above) FF9 (I actually reached CD 3 before but had to format my comp then played 20 hours and formated my comp again) Max Payne (Halfway through) Max Payne 2 Baldurs Gate (even installed Baldurs Gate Tutu and read the 150 page manual and just played like 1 hour) Baldurs Gate 2 Civilization GTA3 GTA San Andreas
Starcraft is so addicting and I just always get bored of anything that isn't Starcraft but Kotor is AMAZING
I love anything Star Wars.
I am 100% sure I will finish this game and I will probably replay it and be a Dark jedi or something. Amazing game 10/10 so far!!!

Haha, once me and some friends DotA lanned in someone's basement. I looked up through one of the windows.
"Shit guys it's light outside."

You never alt tabbed to look at the bottom right of your screen? Lol? The last time I gamed all night was when I was playing Starcraft. First time I've ever stayed up past 24 hours. Happen a few weeks ago.

I've watched movies/anime all night but I don't think I've ever done it with games. I can't really play a single player game for a long time, unless I'm playing while watching something or it's civilization.

Are you playing KOTOR 1 or 2?
I'll get the game and come back to you for tips

yeah both KOTOR 1 and 2 are very, very good games there were only two things that bothered me: 1. no really badass weapons, it didn't make a big difference if you fight with a lightsword or a upgraded lightsword 2. so fucking easy.... )= I think I didn't die once in KOTR 1 and the final battle is ridiculously easy (I don't want to spoil you, but if you have a certain skill, there is just no challenge)

Yea star war games can get interesting and sometimes be a bit to easy. I remember the one for N64 was just a failure at being hard.
|
It's a decade + ago, so my memory might be spotty, but wasn't the 64 game pretty hard if you set it to the highest difficulty??
all-night gamathons are always fun once in a blue moon. i might do one tonight, since im not going out and i gotta be up at 6 tomorrow
|
are you done with your star wars movie downloads? O_O (what a junkie)

KOTOR1 was absolutely fucking amazing. I pulled a couple all-nighters to finish it as well.
The game is much easier as the warrior type class rather than the all-jedi all the time class, and also easier dark side. If you're all jedi and all good, the final battle is astonishingly difficult.

I once stayed up all night playing Halo2 on XBL, then didnt sleep during the day, then stayed up all next night playing BW. Was awake for like 60 hours in all, gamed it hard and smoked a lot of weed, good times
|
I loved KOTR and KOTR 2. Both were amazing. I'm about halfway through mass effect too. It's a great game but I always stray from it for long periods of time for one reason or another.
|
The only time I pull all nighters is LANing or staying up to watch SC live (it starts at 4am here).
|
I pulled a lot of all nighters to watch Bisu play. I knew what time it was but I just wanted to finish the area lol

I don't really get tired of those movies especially the New Hope/Empire Strikes back/ Return of the jedi

What is "the star wars game" for 64 that you guys are talking about?? I had like 3 star wars games for 64 lol.. shadows of the empire, rogue squadron, and some other thing .. okay maybe two.. rogue squadron was pretty badass as i remember
|
Rogue Squadron was pretty hard, it took me a lot of effort to complete all the levels with the highest difficulty mode (Golden Medal or whatever it was). Final map was the Battle of Hoth, which sucked. I kinda had huge expectations being the hardest bonus map to attain and all
|
KOTOR 1 was indeed amazing. KOTOR 2 was okay too. Certainly try Mass Effect when you can it's amazing too, made by same company (BioWare) the 2 games are very similiar in a way.

I'd come home and watch part one which was like 3 hours and then part 2 the next day after work and then part 3 which was like 4 hours lol
