It relies on the terran thinking he's playing a nub, so therefore no, dont do it.
And to answer your second question, no, its just a fast 3rd base strat, which won't work vs a good terran on most maps (you can do it on some, like monty hall or Katrina though). So I'd stickto 3 hat muta.

It will works decently up to about C, on python always do the third hat in the corner closest to them(trust me).
I also go ling heavy when I do this build and get a 4th hat at home soon and resort to standard play with extra gas.

Face it, Flash isn't anywhere close to what he used to be. If GGplay wins then he won fair and square and deserves the win.

the most important game of the series is Chupung... Medusa seems to be a zergy map, given the proleague lineups and the fact that Flash risked mech to try to mix things up while Plasma is a decidedly Terran map. So if Flash takes Chupung, my money is on him taking the series.

I didn't say anything about GGPlay not winning fair and square. It's just that Flash's build relied a lot on surprise and by sneaking in that drone it kinda threw flash off and gave GGPlay just the intelligence he needed to adjust accordingly.
Had it not snuck in it would've been a completly different game.

GGplays adaptation was perfect
just a really really good game from GGplay, and an entertaining game to watch in general

no way. Medusa seems to be a very terran map, the cliff at your main minerals just proves it. The fact that a Terran can bunker rush you from up there just makes it imba

That seems a bit of an overstatement. Just move your second overlord over your cliff, or have it keep an eye on the backdoor.
IMO it's slightly Zerg favored because mutas can use the cliffs to limit mobility/visibility of marines and turrets, and the middle of the map is wide open for flanking.

Yeah, nice game by ggplay. I seem to recall Flash doing this sort of a build to GGplay on Katrina, but kept thinking that Medusa doesn't have the same terrain abusability that Katrina did, and maybe Flash did mech on GGPlay again after seeing how terrible GGPlay fared against it the first time around
About the strat, would any good player automatically assume hidden expo? One could be building the 3rd hatch at some random spot to hide the spire, but I guess hidden expo is a much more likely scenario, lol
At any rate, from the gas timing they should be able to tell 3 hatch, not 2 hatch, and from that info, they'll try to find your 3rd hatch, and if they assume wrong and don't find a hidden expo, it's not a big deal so they might as well search it out

i dont think flash and ggplay ever played on katrina. Are you thinking ggplay vs shudder?
The only times these guys played against each other was osl semifinal bo5 maps were fantasy hitchhiker python and monty hall and another time in osl ro16 on hwarangdo.
