It's a pretty deep ad, in that it hits different viewers at different levels. Watch it if you haven't yet and come to your own conclusions on what it means to you. Then, read the spoiler for some possible interpretations and a poll.
1) Obama is full of himself, and thinks he's a modern day Moses, i.e. the savior of his people.
2) Obama is too popular and possibly the anti-christ.
3) Obama is awesome, but do us a favor and elect him next term.
4) Obama is Neo and McCain is Agent Smith, but Neo needs another two movies before he can kick Agent Smith's ass, so vote McCain.
5) McCain doesn't have a single policy that both differentiates him from Obama and endears him to the swing voters of the US, so he'd best avoid issues altogether and concentrate on turning Obama's ability to inspire confidence into a liability.

To be honest I made this thread to post the pic I made of McCain as Agent Smith and Obama as Neo, but I am kinda interested in what people think of the ad. My first reaction, as an atheist, was that McCain was calling Obama the anti-christ. My Christian friends thought McCain was calling Obama self-important. Most people I've talked to about it, though, think that regardless of the point it was making, the ad was a pretty lame and avoided any meaningful politics whatsoever.
Thank god for your spoilers I thought you might be buying into this propaganda bullshit for a second. All Obama is to me is the lesser of two evils. Plan on voting for him for that reason plus his views on the internet.
The point is that Obama is all hype, takes himself for some superhuman saviour of America, but isn't competent. The effort is to turn the "Obamamania" against him, and make people remember his utter lack of experience. I'm not sure how effective it will be, as some people might actually like the way he's portrayed, and others will just ignore it.

I think it's a combination of these things. McCain's campaign has been trying to criticize Barack for his popularity in Europe, as if that's a bad thing. Obviously this ad is pretty dorky and lame. If they're actually running it (it seems like a joke) then I'm sure they'll get called out on it.
At first it seemed like the ad was saying Obama is the next christ or something like that. I wouldnt say this ad is 'deep' as you have. In my opininion it was a poor choice for mccain to put this ad out. I dont see it helping him.
Yeah there is another john mccain aid that like it they are more or less made to make him look like an eliteist, which compared to mccain maybe is but w/e doesn't change my vote i guess it's aimed to keep republicans voting republicans cause i don't know how it works with swing votes unless its middle America.
To me, there's not much to read from these ads. They were made for ONE purpose and that is to persuade me. It doesn't want me to think, it just wants me to mindlessly follow one candidate.
I utterly hate modern political campaigns. IMO, you should be telling the electorate why they should vote for you, not why they shouldn't vote for your opposition. There's way too much insulting going on here.
To me it looked like Obama was the anti-christ. Once I saw the ad was paid for by McCain though and it was actually an anti-Obama commercial I was relieved and felt I could rest assured! McCain is an old ass loser who wants to become president before he dies, which is soon.
McCain ads continue to be misleading and petty, aimed at manipulating the prejudices and emotions of ignorant Americans. I expect that we will see many more of these to come given what was their "apparent" success in closing the gap in most polls between Obama and McCain.
I have to admit that ad is really clever. It definitely paints Obama as an overhyped televangelist type really well. There is a grain of truth to it, as well. (Although I'd still vote for Obama over McCain.)
