I've kept a sort of written record of stuff in my life before, but I've never used a blog before. It seems like a nice idea to get my thoughts down, share cool shit, or just vent my anger (like I did in an old old TL post in a rant thread).
Why do people blog? I guess it's almost the same reason people kept diaries back then (and even now). To write down thoughts and stuff that happens; I think it's really good to have some sort of writing that is a record of your life. A lot of the times, I find myself wondering what went on or what happened on a certain day, but can't remember, or can only remember vague details. Then again, blogs differ because a diary is supposed to incorporate a sense of privacy, and the intent is for no one else to be able to read what you wrote, as the record is of private, personal matters. Blogs offer anonymity online, but the facts are still there, and if someone you know finds it...
Well, I guess here it goes.
I think I should add a little content, rather than just the above.
I'm in junior year of high school in the US, and times are very rough. Doing college searching. Maintaining high GPA (like a 4.4 out of 4.5). Taking AP classes. Trying to do the activities that demonstrate "leadership skills" that colleges are looking for. I seriously have not done a single one. Ugh.
I'm an avid player of table tennis / ping pong. Love it to death. I play around 3-4 times a week (more if I play in a tournament). Took lessons from a Korean coach who used to be on the Korean national (junior?) team. Unfortunately, he left after a short stay, and no one around here can teach/coach like he does.
Well, I'll update on anything interesting. Hope I didn't bore anyone who reads this to death.

I never had a reason to blog. I made a blog last year, partly because we had to write journal entires in our writing class, and I thought to myself "hey, I should keep a diary of my daily events or some shit". Anyway, I left it at that one entry. I cant blog, because theres too much I want to jot down and my hands are fast enough. And then I would want to go back and correct things or restructure certain paragraphs so it sounds better. It should be freeflow, but it felt like I was writing a paper.
So I gave up on that, though I should really keep a daily journal entry, but I still have a dream log.

are u korean ieatkids? i thought u were chinese for some reason.
as a person who's never been good with grades i want to know how some people seem to be so damn smart. how many hours do you study a day? are u organized and focus your energy towards learning?

to tell you a terrible truth, i believe that some people are just born more intellectual than others. some people just have a greater capacity for learning and knowledge, and have more of a drive to do well in school. others aren't as lucky in that particular field, but theyre usually gifted in other areas (like athletics). however, those people can study and work hard to achieve grades that are just as good as the "smarter" people.
i used to not really study hard; only a little bit for unit tests and exams. i've always managed to get good grades (A's for me) without needing to study. i've always did just enough to get the A, but nothing more. however, last year (may 2007) was my first ap exam, and everyone (teachers too) hyped it up to be extremely difficult, so i studied like crazy from april to the exam date. since then, ive studied a lot more than i used to, realizing that the coursework is getting more difficult, and that i should strive to genuinely do my best, rather than doing "just enough."
in addition, the whole college search thing serves as a motivator for me to pwn my classes.
finally, ive actually taken a liking to some of my classes (especially history), and i enjoy (sort of) readiing about the subject matter and the materials. so liking what youre doing helps a lot. if you dont like it, it'll just be less enjoyable (still can get an A in the class).
