Ok, so there is this guy in my math class. We talked, and I THOUGHT his name was Dan. Well I never had any situation arise that caused me too say his name. Then suddenly, in math one day, the teacher referred to another guy as Dan. Oh shit. A guy I talk to on a daily basis, and I don't know his fucking name. I never ended up asking him his name though. Our teacher had to say it while passing back quizzes. I mean its not really that big of a deal, but this happens to me a lot...and every time it becomes a really awkward situation where you try to avoid talking to them so you don't have to say their name

There's this guy I often see at parties. I'm always pretty drunk to the point of memoryloss, so every time I asked his name I didnt even remember. I know it after having seen him 20 times now though hahah

Haha, it took me 8 Months of chemistry before finding out my lab partners name after looking at a piece of work that she had handed in (and had her name on). She called me by name the entire year, I never once said hers

I'm so used to it, it doesnt even bother me

I know a girl who was in my physics class over a year ago whose told me her name several times and I still don't know what it is. How sad is that. It's some long and hard to pronounce Chinese name though.

There were two guys in my study hall that sit next to each other... Mike and Allen. I couldn't tell them apart except by which seat they were sitting in for about 4 months.
Edit: More like 6 months... and even then I still have to think for a second. And no they are not related.

I used to go to the bar all the time, and one night I ended up drinking with this guy. (Still have no idea what his name is.) But yeah ever since then we became buddies. And the few times I asked him name I would always forget. Eventually it just turned into calling him "Dude" or shit like that. I felt bad because he knew my name haha.

In fact there have been many times where I can't remember a persons name and I just say "hey, I know I should know your name...but I forgot it, what is it again?" and usually they say something along the lines of "holy shit! I've been trying to remember your name this whole time too haha, my name's [whatever] by the way".

I called someone Chris to help me with something in my photography class and he replies:
"Okay sure, but my name is Steven."
In order not to look stupid, I said:
"I'm calling you Chris from now on."

It is nothing to be embarrassed about, the second you forget their name you should go "um... I forgot their name." Anytime within the first month is acceptable. But you should do it the next time you see them. It is not difficult to ask.
That said, I seem to do this too. Its easier just to give them a nickname then. (Like I'm Chinese so ill say hey Lang-lui or lang-jai good looking girl, guy respectively.)

I forgot my friend's name once, which is sad because we knew each other since 8th grade and I forgot his name during my junior year.
His name was Heron, but, for some reason, I guess I never really say his name a lot. We usually just go "DUDE!" and one of us is bound to turn around.
When I finally needed to call his name out, I just kind of said "Hey, you!" and fucking started laughing and said I forgot his name.
He just looked at me like "O_o Dude, Fonze, are you high?"
XD Sucks =[
Also, this girl who I met on this trip knows my name and always calls it out when she sees me, like "FONZEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!", but I don't even know her name.
=[
