4gb, sony. Looked ok. But after i plugged that little son of a bitch in i had a constant sand glass instead of my mouse arrow and my cpu was up to 99% all the time.
So i pulled that little fucker out, run some virus progs, tought i had it contained and made a backup and hit format c.
After i was up again i plugged in my backup and the virus was of course back. I tried this whole anti-virus routine again but somehow that little devil came back after every newstart. I worked for about 2 weeks without my old files but now it get's to the point where i need some of it back but i'm too afraid to plug that thing in.
I don't remember the exact name of the evildoer. But it was nothing fancy just the sand glass and 99% cpu workload thing. Plus i remeber when i read the description it would close some chinese websites when open and close some games like world of warcraft, counterstrike and whatnot.
Now that i trew away about 50% of our old computers when my office moved i have no machines i could sacrifice to get rid of that thing. So i have to use my. Could someone give me some tipps, anti-virus and whatnot wich i could use to safely plug my backup hd in and get rid of that thing?
Thx
