This is the last thoughts of C.Jung on cognitive functions he left behind , these images could be found in his hidden book Liber Novus , and it was one of his last books written before his death.
To be more familiar with the subject, there is a quote on the book "1000 faces hero" from Joseph Campbell about symbols.
Symbols are a way to communicate to the external world what is understood in its inner world, without externalizing the symbols we understand during life its subject get stuck and could be generating a sense of already know all.

The subject below is trivial and invokes the notion of an author communicating with symbols a language not existent or possible to be totally described in our vocabullary, could be something more abstract.
