I learned piano from the age of 6 and kept learning all the way through college. After graduation however, I got busy with work and life but still managed to play once in a while. Recently I have started playing seriously again, even composing.

Here is my latest piano composition, a song resembling the musical styles of Lana Del Rey and Coldplay. Imagine a young boy falling madly in love with the girl of his life. He walks with her to various corners of the city, not paying attention to the time and space. This song pieces together the random thoughts and simple happiness that permeate his mind as he sinks deeper in his infatuations.

I have listened fully to your score, and will tell you what I think;

I called it score because to me as a listener this does not feel like a song, but rather like a score to a film; it describes your feelings that you captivated very well; I could feel some emotions that you lived and that gave birth to your composition. From what you said And seeying you perform it seems you have played for many years, but have just recently started composing. in some parts of your score your ideas are underdeveloped. I would have liked to hear longer passages and more develelpment on some of the tunes you pulled out.
Here are some technical ideas I would recommend for your next “song”;
Have another person perform your compositions. This really helps you as a composer get an objective overview of your final piece. Alternatively you could have use a midi player for that. Introducing a second instrument to your compositions also brings a whole new ambience, new ideas, and easier development. Write down everything that comes to your mind when conceptualizing and scaling. And learn a second instrument. Even something as simple as a recorder. A composer has to know how to play more than one instrument, even if you never ever end up writing for any other instrument than the piano.

The modulation into the first 'Go' section was my favorite part, I felt like the left hand was implying a minor chord but it quickly turned out not to be the case. That moment reminded me of that somewhat terrifying "Oh man, I've lost myself" feeling. Keep it up!

Hey buddy thanks for your heartful comments man! I do play other instruments such as guitar and harmonica, but so far I have been reluctant to write a multi-instrumental score. For one I don't feel confident in my ability to mix and match different sounds. Secondly I aspire to be a piano-only composer / performer, similar to Ryuichi Sakamoto, Joe Hisaishi, Jin Shi or Yiruma. But I will definitely try to include more elements in later pieces!
