So I have played the ladder alot lately, mainly because I'm an unemployed bum and my girlfriend is out of town...lol
ANYWHO, I am now at like 97-104 stats, btw my ICCUP name is JensofSweden if anyone would like to play a game just tell me.
I got like 3500 points and at C- (obviously). My next goal is to reach C although I know that will be hard unless I am newbie bashing, which I don't really prefer because it feels like I don't learn anything from it.
I used to be scared of D rank people with positive win-loss ratios but not anymore, I have gotten better the last month and I can tell.
I am faster; my apm is now 250 average, and it was like 200-230 earlier.
I know what to do and I do it faster basically, and my TvP and TvT is going very well. TvZ is ok too I guess, although it probably is my weakest MU...but TvP used to be.
I have played alot on maps like Gaia, Longinus, some games on Reverse Temple, Python etc and I aim at playing alot on the new maps, preferrably StarLeague maps. Problem is, it's not always so easy to get games on maps like Fantasy, Geometry etc, cuz it seems to me people seem to stick with the ones they know best like the WCG maps, Longinus, Tau Cross etc.
I always drink coffee before playing and I'm not sure whether it helps or not, I think it makes me more alert sometimes, but it's also easy to become a bit shaky and that definately fucks your game up.
By.Flash is awesome. I watched some reps of his earlier and his TvP is so aggressive and straight-forward. His micro and execution was definately pro-gamer level and I was astounded at his fast reactions, you could really tell by watching the rep that this guy is a pro-gamer.
Then again I have a hard time adopting any of these new Terrans as my new hero, because I live in the past. Nada, Oov and Midas still rock my world.
I actually never cared that much for Boxer; well some years back when I was getting into progaming I did, and thought he was awesome, but then I found Nada and the rest is history.
I always thought Boxer had a pretty weak game, except for micro and I get the feeling he tried whacky builds just to please the audience, and not actually because he wanted to win.
Sometimes Boxer is just pure magic and sometimes he looks like a D noob on ICCUP. I know this may sound blasphemous to say about the emperor but he looks damn fragile at times, especially against protoss.
Nada on the other hand has the micro and macro. He is fast as hell, and you get the feeling he is in total control; of his army, of what his opponent is doing, and the game itself.
Numerous times I have watched his replays in total disbelief thinking to myself that this guy is "totally fucking awesome" and "how the FUCK does he do that?"
We have all seen NaDa:s famous micro with m&m running around in the opponents base forever killing everything and his extremely well-microed vultures causing havoc against tosses.
He can hit-and-run with vults like few other people and the speed he is doing it at truly tells you that this guy deserves to make a living out of this game.
Although lately Nada is not the same anymore, the magic is lost sadly.
Well that will be it for todays ramblings.
Please comment! I am not writing this for myself, but to spark discussion and thought.
One love
