Today is the last day of TSL6 and man it's been a wild ride. We weren't able to confirm the dates of the tournament as early as we wanted to so to say that these months have been "intense" would be about as accurate as calling 2020 a "slightly weird" year. Due to this the people behind the scenes, the ones you'll never see/know, have done so much and I feel like they shouldn't go unnamed. I could literally turn this into a novel but I'm going to try to keep it short, in the hopes of you reading it all. Because these people deserve some recognition.

I'll start with Wyf, my second in command. Before TSL5 I didn't know her that well but we really hit it off and I'm proud to call her a friend and confidant. She has my full trust and without her I would've been admitted to a mental institution after the qualifiers.

I can't skip mentioning TLO either. Both me and Wyf lack some experience in competitive SC2 so having Dario there to bounce ideas off has been brilliant. He also pushes us to do everything we do a bit better, making us focus on quality over anything else.

Lip and Simon at Salon Alpin created the INSANE intro. We went to them with a general idea and they took that and morphed it into what you see every day on stream. Their minds work on a different level from mine and I really hope we can work with them again for TSL7 & 8!

Cris, the event lead for Team Liquid. Cris wasn't yet a part of Liquid for TSL5 but having her on for TSL6 was a game changer. No matter what was thrown at her, she always handled it in a cool, calm, and collected way. I have less gray hair because of her.

Tracy and the Liquid partnerships team. Putting on the show costs money. To raise the funds we need some awesome partners and we need to make sure they're happy. My philosophy is that partners should be integrated into the broadcast rather than just being promoted through commercials. That's hard to do sometimes and Tracy is just an idea machine.

Tiff and the Liquid graphics team. I mentioned Salon Alpin earlier and these guys took their work and created all the on-air assets(overlays) and transitions. The way they worked the toy box feeling into the broadcast so seemlessly blows my mind every time we go live. So thank you Tiff, Stacey, Hendrik, and anyone else who helped out!

Marco, aka TheOneAboveU, who's our contest admin and Twitter memer. The amount of work he has taken off my plate this time around has allowed me to make TSL6 better and he does it all with (what I imagine to be) a smile on his face. 10/10 would work with again.

Heyoka! We had issues with the system we were planning on using for the qualifiers and needed to have a reliable system set up in basically no time. I sent off a panic email to Heyoka and within a few hours we transitioned to ESL Play. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!

Shawn and Will (and everyone else) at EE. Changing broadcast partners is never easy. Will they get what we're trying to do? EsportsEngine definitely did and Shawn and Will have been amazing to work with. We had issues on day 1 but it's been a smooth ride ever since.

SlowlyFalling and TripleHelix. Twitch chat can be a toxic cesspool at times but we, together, have done our best to clean it up and I'm actually really happy with the result.

Last but definitely not least: Olimoley. She helped us get Maru for TSL6, which we couldn't for TSL5. She stays up through the night to admin and has blown everyone away with her skills.

I'm sure there's someone I've forgotten but I'm treating this as an Oscars acceptance speech: no do-overs. Just know that if you've helped out behind the scenes I'm forever thankful for your contribution. Together we've brought TSL back from the grave. Not only that, we made it so good that we've already secured funding for two more. Super cool.

TSL3 was one of my first introductions to how awesome TL is, so it's really cool to see that torch continued to be carried with poise. Congrats on a swell production!

Good stuff, love to see some of the behind the scenes insights and shouts.

You're a beast too! I don't think I ever saw a moment where you weren't involved in the chat and keeping the hype train going and the trolls at bay. Let alone the huge amount of work and preparation behind the scenes. Great job Julmust!! Great tourney!

Is there somewhere I can go to check out the music you guys used in between games? There were a few tunes that were total BOPS. Thanks so much for a fantastic tournament! Can't wait for the next one. <3

It's all licensed music, unfortunately. So it won't be available on spotify or other platform. I can ask for a playlist, though.
