EPTSo, since 2020's coronavirus has put most of us at home, It gave me some more freetime to spend doing w/e I like doing, normally I spend two hours a day traveling back and forth between work and home. Now that I wont have to do that anymore until around August, It's given me some time to catch back up to starcraft.
Last year, I had probably my best year of performance on SC2 ladder, I had switched from Z to P on ladder and blitzed out a ridiculous 550+ ladder games in a some three week period last april. That was enough to carry me from D1 to M3. I had so much confidence in my play and just had a really good time. It wasn't my first time reaching masters in general, but it was the first time I reached M3 with toss.
Then summer 2019 came, and I picked up programming as my new go-to hobby. My language of choice was Python. Prior to this, I had only really used SQL through work, never actually producing any code, but when I saw how much fun I had programming in Python I just kept doing it. I was pretty happy I had found something else to enjoy other than gaming and cycling.
I made a few projects, mostly game projects to test my willpower to actually create and finish a project all by myself.

It took quite a bit of time for me to make that project from start to finish, I had no real prior experience to game making and I had so many issues! I probably spent more time googling than coding!
Anyways, back to 2020. I started playing starcraft BW and SC2 again a couple weeks ago after a 7 month break and I've been having lots of fun. Mostly playing mech with terran against all races. When I came back to SC2, I did have a crazy loss streak once I started laddering (slumped 800-1000mmr) which was annoying, but once I started winning again I was having lots of fun.
I'm still horrible at BW though, (F rank with 1000mmr) but it's ok. I can still find games and win some games.
However, I don't think I want to push my skill in ladder anymore. I've played in every league except GM in all brackets and don't have any goals left to attain. If I end up settling at low diamond that's more than good enough.
That's about all I had for this blog, could've added some more stuff. But this is a blog and not a book...
