Disclaimer, I'm not from Singapore, let's just get that out of the way.

Hi guys! So, a bit of context, I went to Thailand a few months ago (to visit a relative who was studying there) and I saw this bookstore named Kinokuniya and I instantly fell in love with their selection of philosophy books. We don't get that many philosophy books in the Philippines, we usually just get one column of a bookshelf and that's Western and Eastern Philosophy (yeah it's really that sad). I asked my relative if Kinokuniya Thailand goes on sales and she said they didn't.

I then checked their site and saw that they have a Singapore branch. A friend of mine who had been in Singapore a few times and is staying there to study told me that Kinokuniya SG holds sales (20% to 50%). I checked the Kino SG Site, however, I can't seem to see if they have any upcoming sales.

And I'm also wondering if Kinokuniya is included in The Great Singapore Sale because most of the friends I have that went there shopped for clothes and cosmetics.

So I mainly have 3 questions:

1. Where can I see Kinokuniya's sale schedule?
2. Are they included in the Great Singapore Sale?
3. What are the usual rates when they go on sale?

honestly dude they kick trees in Thailand and you learn kinesthetically. it's a martial philosophy like native American raindance, cactus kinesiology, and equine acupuncture. I'm surprised you're looking for books. you've probably insulted the Thai people. isee you've amassed a great number of posts, but if you're not native to Thailand you should at least add the town you're staying in, whether you've met "[e]lle" chau the bw player, and which nations in the pacific islands you think are best suited to studying western philosophy in.

I don't really shop for books but yeah it is sad. Are you going there to buy stuff yourself? Maybe you can ask your friend to see or check if there's a sale coming? (If you can't find it online.)

First time I've heard about the Great Singapore Sale. Gonna look it up. ^_^

Well that's the plan, it's just a 3 hour flight if I'm not mistaken because it's pretty near. I've checked kinokuniya sg's website and I saw a Sale announcement 3 days ago for a sale last August 8 and 9. I tried reaching them through facebook to figure out if they're included in the great singapore sale or if they at least give a weeks notice when they're having sales. It seems that I'll have to constantly check their sites for any announcements.
