For Tomorrow

I fart today.
For a better future,
And a less gaseous past.

For presidents have done it,
And wars have been started for less.
I fart today,
For buildings are built on such efforts,
And destruction require a solid to pass.

For musicians have honed it,
The lyrics, always made to last.
I fart today.
For my mother always taught me:
"A toot is better than a number two."
I fart today.
For my brethren will applaud,
So long as it is long and loud.
I fart today.
For somewhere in China,
Some soul is sucking wind in.
I fart today.
For the child in me,
Longs to live
And hates to hold it.
And my friends,
If I don't fart again,
Then alas.
Count the days,
And recount of the tale of p4NDemik.
Who farted till his last breath.
Fart for Tomorrow.

I imagined of one of those commercials, like that (intel?) "I'm a gamer commercial" not too long ago where they show different people saying "I fart today" and they go through about 10 quickly and then the screen zooms out and it's a mosaic of tens, then hundreds, then thousands of people, in quick succession, all saying in unison "I fart today."

Farts are absolutely not my taste in humour, but if I interpreted the first half correctly, there was some nice satire (I think that's what it is) in there. Second half was typical farty humour though and I'm neither a fan of farts or the arty-farty, so consider yourself lucky that poetry about farts is getting 4★ from me.
