most posts on 9gag have always been idiotic, but at least some used to be funny.
that was long ago.
nowadays i just waste time, laugh at 1/500 pictures and get angry at the idiocy

the last few weeks I told myself I only go on 9gag to feel smarter myself as I can compare myself to a lot of idiots, but I think the truth is that most posters on 9gag are 12-16 and I just dont share their sense of humor or "THIS IS DEEP".
These last days I started to feel like I actually lose brain power by being on 9gag.
So from today on I will stop wasting my time on that website. Its been too much. It has been enough. As an homage to the typical 9gag post I will end with something really deep:
"IF YOU CONSUME TOO MUCH SHIT, YOU BECOME SHIT"

that had to do with my studies
when i did my bachelor i did 3 month working / 3 month university and during working months I always had a few 60 hour weeks and a few 20 hour weeks where i somehow had to kill time. dont have facebook so there you go
first heard of 9gag through some linked image i suppose

meh no reason to get mad at 9gag imo. If you don't enjoy reading the stuff there, just quit and do something more useful like you're planning on doing. I just don't really understand why you are ranting about this website. Has it changed over several years? A bit but nowhere as bad as you make it sound

Well I think OP has some issues to sort through, but maybe I do too. I find myself getting angry with imgur because I check it out daily for the funny pictures and to see how people react to the various news. Extremely disappointing people. I can only imagine 9gag being worse.
Social media and these kinds of platforms justify my crippling pessimism.

Funny, I frequent reddit, which used to just constantly denigrate 9gag for stealing their funny posts, like it was the second coming of Hitler or something to repost somebody's joke on a different website...
Amusingly enough I'm starting to feel the same way you feel about 9gag, about reddit - all the humor is the same, and even worse is the political "discussion" that takes place - just a whole bunch of people with preconceived ideological notions in a big circlejerk.
Your last line there is pretty relevant for me too I guess, lol
