EPTI read somewhere that apparently they had a role in a Korean movie as voice actors and I couldn't resist digging up the movie and having a look. Indeed, I heard Artosis's beautiful voice in the movie. I'll post the excerpt at the end of blog, I uploaded it to Youtube. I couldn't quite hear the same voice that I hear in the GSL from Tasteless, however I'm guessing that it probably was Tasteless.
The real meat of this blog is that during my little research, I found something called Sons of Starcraft. Apparently this little documentary got some flak from reddit. I say fuck that, even if it's not the most well produced piece of work ever, it does an amazing job in giving us, the viewers, a little insight and history on the casting archon. I thought they couldn't do much more to make me like them even more, but after I watched Sons of Starcraft's 4 episodes, they've actually managed to garner even more respect from me. These two went to Korea with nothing. Actually, no that's not true. They went to Korea with nothing more than a passion for Starcraft. On just those feelings, just that burning passion for Starcraft, they went and established something really fucking good. They had some ups and downs before the GSL. Sons of Starcraft does a good job of telling us what the ups were. It's when you see their downs that all the respect for those two just comes surging forward. I rarely get touched when I watch Starcraft or Starcraft related things; I can watch a Korean cry when he lost a very important professional match with a straight face. But fuck, the story of Nick Tasteless Plott and Dan Artosis Stemkoski really struck a chord. For all the respect they get, I almost feel as if they still don't get enough.
Well, whatever. I don't care if anyone agrees or disagrees with me, or if I'm being a softy for no reason. You could even call me a dumbass fanboi, I wouldn't give a fuck. As long as I can express my profound respect for these two, I'm fine.
I took the liberty of fishing these out, so have a look. It's the Sons of Starcraft documentary that I feel have appalling few views. I'll admit the first episode is kind of meh, but episodes 2, 3 and 4 are where it's at. Enjoy~
