Does this place exist?

I'm looking to travel somewhere, and I know where I'd like to go, but I don't know where the place I want to go exists.

Here's the dreamy in my head version:

Semi-remote, tropical, ~~a somewhat secluded cabin on a cluster of small islands (imagine a 5-15 min hike or boatride to nearby town or whatever)~~

We'd be able to rent a sailboat/boat we could take around the islands for the duration of our time there. Deep, clear water with lots of fish -- or lots of catchable fish nearby!

This place looks cool too, though. Seclusion isn't that important.

By 'we' I mean me and my girlfriend.

Tickets there for 2 weeks would be ~$1500

Has anybody gone or know somebody who's been to fiji?

Maldives? But maldives would be slightly more expensive.

Fiji is a pretty popular tourist destination from here, but that's about all I can tell you. I always hear people having to get immunized before they go though. Something happened there a while ago which slowed down tourism and made it a bit scary to go there but I can't remember what.

Apart from that I've only heard good things.

The title will probably deter anyone with actual information on it though. Why not create a thread like "going to fiji, any information would be helpful".

Both those pictures are of Fiji, so I'd suggest you look into going to Fiji!

Friends of mine went to the maldives and it was exactly like what you described, semi-remote, only one little shop / bar and a few others on the island, able to take a boat to and from. The little huts on the picture where they stayed etc.

So yeah, it does exist lol
