I'm obviously not perfect. I make mistakes all the time. I also misunderstand and misinterpret things, be it in school or just stuff i talk about my friends with. I know that fixing my mistakes is the best way to go about and doing something stupid over and over won't get me anywhere.. but i cant help but feel like shit and incredibly angry/annoyed sometimes when i ask people to help me. When they help, i accept it politely and take every advice carefully but I don't feel particularly good about it. I think its cause I'm just subconsciously arrogant because i don't feel this way with teachers at school, and some gamers who are clearly better than me (even from decent players, I didn't particular enjoy being taught about something even when I want to know what i did wrong, etc.). I don't think its their tone or attitude. People have generally been nice when sharing their knowledge.

Just a little rant, even saying this sorta annoys me but I need to get it off my chest.

Well thats really too bad. You should work on that as much as possible as being uncomfortable taking advice or being bad with criticism is probably one of the most harmful and obnoxious traits a person can have.

I had a touch of issues with this kind of stuff, but I changed my mindset to appreciate my work and skills as something I acquire and create and not something that defines me personally. Also it really helps to take a step back and look at other people in your life and recognize how moronic they look when they can't take constructive criticism or are embarrassed by the learning process that we all have to go through in order to pick up or perfect a skill. Its like falling off your bike and then immediately jumping up while frantically looking around hoping nobody saw and pretending shittily that nothing happened, vs lying there for a bit, giving the onlookers the thumbs up and laugh and a whoops and moving on. One makes you look like an insecure loser, the other one doesn't, no argument.

As long as you recognize the issue though, thats definitely the most important step to working on it.
